Billionaires vs. Millionaires, sounds like professional sports, or GOP politics....
Whatever happened to the great middle class? Too bad no one notices those who are actually working for Californians now.
Before or After the car show, on August 17, smart voters, please vote for John Laird.
He still works for the middle class and for the citizens of SD15.
Save the Central coast from a Blakeslee,Big Oil Spill Corporate takeover.
We can be smarter than BP Balkeslee thinks we are.
Even if you are a millionaire, billionaire, or just a good golfer, everyone wants a clean coast with an ocean view, not filled with smelly, oily derricks. More penalty shots...
Vote John Laird to save the Coast!

You must mean John Lard who is your typical termed out Californian politician trying to keep his snout in the trough. I guess Lard missed out on a Job in Bell, California!

I find this article most disturbing...another example of the Conspicuous Consumption attitude that's rampant on the Monterey Peninsula. There are people who are barely eking by and The Herald opts to print an article about millionaires versus billionaires. Highly offensive.

Interesting how the 5 Spam and 4 Clueless Icons disappeared from goldenbears comments since my 1st post. I wonder who the MH is endorsing?

And litzie you better hope Conspicuous Consumption starts buying more ads in the lefty run newspaper or you are going to have to get your news from Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, you know, news outlets that are still making a profit!

litzie, the free press seems to bother you. No one is forcing you to read the Herald.

TONY: Unfortunately, most of the Conspicuous Consumption "white" right wingers have their heads too far up their a** to be concerned about reading The Herald...AND if this is their second (or third or fourth) home, probably don't subscribe or patronize too many local businesses, other than restaurants/bars.

It would be WONDERFUL if the uber-wealthy WOULD spend more of their $$$ around here other than for "special" events, like The AT&T, The Open and The Concourse.

EX-DRIVER: No, no one is FORCING me to read The Herald, which is why I dropped my subscription 14-months ago. However, their on-line site is a good way to catch breaking news...as is KSBW. The "free press" doesn't bother me in the slightest...it's the flaunting of wealth when people are losing their homes and going to bed hungry that disturbs me. Some things are better kept quiet.

Envy is such an ugly emotion. And as for Laird, a taxpaying worker voting for Laird is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders. He's a big part of why the State is broke.

What is wrong with some of you people, don't you get it we either work for a living or take handouts to get by. Millionars/ billian airs great bring them in, we need there dollars in this town not handouts (taxes) taken from them to give to deadbeats.
By this way I make 10.00 a hour and got huge tips from these guys

I admit the green envy bug attacks me every time I see one of those Red Ferraris passing me. This morning two passed and I said I am glad they are all going home and will not be around to make me feel bad, poor and unlucky.

I know, I know my feelings are immature but even at 75 I still long for one of those Ferraris to be in MY driveway!

Maybe one is never to old to dream!
