I went through the drive in Friday for the express purpose of throwing a few bucks the way of the owners who've done such a great job and treated their community with the utmost respect. Thanks for the new investment and the tasty lunch:D

We ate at Tarpys. Once. Bland, unimaginative, overpriced. Not that we prefer McDonalds, but at least you know and get what you pay for under the golden (black?) arches....

This is sad, the only new construction in Monterey is a MickyD's. Just shows how uninformed people will go cheap to eat crap. McD's serves poison and doesn't do s&*t to address the health problems its' food really causes. Do you have any idea what a diet of junk does to your body?

New building onthe outside, same ol' unhealthy, chemically processed crap (errrr, food) on the inside. Wake-up folks. Treat yourself better...

No one is making you eat there. At least the building looks better now. And hey you can't beat a mcgriddles after running the 10k in pg.

They show have replaced Mickey D's with a Fresh Choice. Maybe I would actually go there for food then.

Wow, the entrance to Monterey! You're kidding right. I can hear it now, " I live inside Monterey's landmark entrance to the sea, Micky D's". Bad choice for a landmark entrance.

Why would you do something healthy like running, only to clog your veins with fat afterwards? because it's delicious and I know how to how to limit myself. I eat in moderation and running an average 6 min mile I feel like I can reward myself. Probably going to do the same thing after I race the sea otter. Probably going to eat better after that though... Mabe a bar b q and a whole rack o ribs....

I never liked the burgers, but my wife had me try the Chicken Snack Wraps and they are a good value. You can see that it is a real piece of grilled chicken not parts or what ever they put in the burgers.
They have a few good chicken salads, not as good as Fresh Choice, but much better than the simulated meat sandwiches that the execs will not eat.

No matter how nice it looks it's still a McDonalds. There is no way that when I go to Monterey that I am ever eating at McDonalds. If I were on the city council I wouldn't allow any chain type restaurants to be in the beautiful city of Monterey.

It's not there for you, it's for the tourist. Ever wonder why Monterey doesn't have the financial woes that Pacific Grove has? They don't mind attracting buisness...even Mcdonald's.

Not only is fast food bad for you, these fast food chains believe illegal aliens deserve jobs more than Americans. Seniors, teens & the developmentally disabled would love to have the jobs at these fast food places. We need to put Americans back to work. Any time I see an all foreign workforce, I take my business elsewhere.

I bet all of the haters here are the same people that say the government should stay out of our personal business. It is funny that people believe the government should not tell us how to live our lives, but will try and tell other how to live theirs. We have the freedom to make choices. Having said that, I agree that McDonalds is not healthy. I agree that fast food contributes to obesity and all that comes with it. However, people know the risks and make a choice. Who am I to tell them not to? I also agree that if people eat it in moderation, it is OK. Did you know if you drink to much water you could die? Maybe we should ban water?

While nobody is forced to eat at McD's, the truth is that $1 buys more there than at Safeway, hmmm.
