What a bunch of hypocrites.
If this was a man who did this to a woman, you'd all be screaming for the death penalty.

Wow...she cut his peepee. He must have done something with it to make her so upset. This was probably a crime of passion.

I'd be willing to bet this woman had taken just about all the abuse from this guy she was going to accept, and one day she just snapped.
It didn't have to be physical abuse; he could have spent the last 20 years calling her 'stupid','lazy','fat','good-fo r-nothing','a moron','a lousy lay' or any of a thousand different insults on a daily basis. This just goes to show that eventually something inside will snap and the abused person will get you back.
I would bet my next year's salary on the fact that this woman was abused in some way by this man. People don't just walk up to someone and kill them in this manner without having a reason for it.

...and why did they stay together? Oh, she was ABUSED? Maybe HE was abused? Maybe they were BOTH abusers? Still, no justification for murder.

LawLess man wrote: ...and why did they stay together? Oh, she was ABUSED? Maybe HE was abused? Maybe they were BOTH abusers? Still, no justification for murder. It's a known fact that many abused women identify with their abusers and that's why they stay. It's called the "Stockholm Syndrome". Patty Hearst is a prime example - she was kidnapped, but after months of being sexually and emotionally abused, she ended up becoming a part of the group her kidnapper belonged to and assisted them in a bank robbery, for which she ended up serving a jail sentence after she was rescued. Other abuse victims can be too intimidated and fearful to leave, having been told that if they try to leave, they will be tracked down and killed, or their children killed. And others stay because they feel they have absolutely no other recourse - they have children, they have no money, no one to help them escape, no place to escape TO. There are a myriad of reasons why an abused person stays with the abuser. But until you stand in their shoes and see the situation from their point of view, you have absolutely no right to judge them.

I suppose though that when a man kills a woman that it is never about him putting up with so much abuse that he snapped.Nag,nag,nag. What a HYPOCRITE. No abuse justifies murder unless self defence.

Maybe it was abuse. Maybe it wasn't.
For all you hypocrites know it could have been him finding out about HER having an affair and threatening to throw her out. Or maybe it was something completely different.
The point is, none of us knows what happened yet, but there's so many of you ready to give her a pass based on what you THINK might be the cause.
Which you wouldn't ever do if this was a man killing a woman.

I would have thought the NT would mention she took his life in the headline or the first sentence.
I guess to the reporter, being stabbed in the groin is worse.
