the homes that centex built in northern nevada suck too!
They last the full first year (one year warranty), then they fall apart.
They are built with the cheapest materials and cheapest labor(illegals)

I Purchased a Centex Home 8 Months ago and my experience has been Horrible the staff is trained to say I don't see a problem when there is one and Upper management (Chuck Bolen, Mike) just don't care about the Customers only their bottom line as they told me which I noted in previous Emails sent to Joe Jenkins And Neil Devory. I was told by a Centex Manager when you buy a Ford it will be a Ford so the walls might rattle when the Ac/Heating system is on, and the floors might shake when walked on, but it is what it is a Ford not a Lexus or Chevy. I am truly upset about this experience and unfortunately if I sold now it will be at a lost which I cannot absorb being new to the area. Centex has not given me any reason to say this is a quality Built home and the warranty being exceptional you can offer a 5 year but it means nothing. In taking time and writing this comment hopefully someone will realize the bottom line should not be more important than the customer because every time some asks me about my Centex Home which is quite often as I sit outside my home and potential customers pass by ask about the homes I tell them about my horrible experience and hopefully they won't fall trapped as I, and I will keep spreading the word until Centex gives me a reason to think differently sales may be great now but as negative comments arise it will not look so good in the near future and that’s unfortunate. In ending just Care about your customers and stop trying cut corners fix the problems at hand, stop making excuses. Thanks for listening and hopefully my words will make a difference.
Thanks

P.S- I contacted Neil Devory several weeks ago and never got a response. It is apparent to me that Centex does not care about it’s customers as I have not been given any reason to like Centex. Their homes are Poorly Built and warranty does not mean's nothing. Do not buy a home from them just becouse it's a good deal you will regret it.

We built our home is PA - Wayne Homes (division of Centex) in Delmont/Greensburg PA

1st Problem: There is no lateral support for the roof trusses in the entire house.

2nd Problem: We contacted and have been seen for a sqeaky floor problem, Wayne came to "fix" and it's now worse.

3rd Problem was fixed by a private electrician because although Wayne was contacted, Wayne came to the house, it was determined that our outlets were not installed properly, the Wayne home electrician shoved the unproperly cut wires into the back of the outlet and didn't even tighten the screws and shoved the outlet back into the wall. Then Wayne came when we called about it and they said they were not fixing it because it was not their problem. We had it fixed by an electrician so our house wouldn't burn down.

There are many other problems that we are currently in the process of having a contractor find and fix.

***We paid a lot of money for our home, we expect that at least the house be built to code and safe for our family. Nobody short staffed Wayne Homes when they wanted paid, now I want the "house" I paid for and was promised.

So file a complaint with the attorney general of your state and construction licensing board if available. NYSE BUILDERS are notorious for not doing anything about any problems unless they are sued by individuals or class action or go to a local TELEVISION STATION OR PICKET THEIR SITES IF ALLOWED.

Oh!! I am sure your house was builted with legal 100 % double checked documented worker. What a cheap stabb at the workers that make almost nothing to survive in a hard working enviroment. WAY TO GO!!
