My point is that people that buy homes near an airport, freeway, rock quarry, outdoor concert venue, shouldn't bitch about the noise. Would that include anyone living close to a private apartment complex that is going to redevelop?

Real Noblesville Dad, I was going to ask you for the sources of your information, because I am sincerely interested. I've been trying to find legitimate sources to verify if, in fact, Carmel Indiana has a net loss of jobs in recent years, and what the actual debt it, etc. But saying that 45 out of 48 eateries in Carmel have gone out of business since 2002-2003, in my personal experience, that is absolutely false (if by new eateries you mean restaurants)...Off the top of my head, I can name many more than 3 "eateries" that have opened in the last 5 years that are still around and doing quite well to my knowledge, including Kincaid's, Noodles, Bazbeaux, Bub's, Kona Grill, Ted's Montana Grill, Mitchell's, Earl of Sandwich, Chipotle, Moe's, Jimmy John's, Red Robin... again, we eat out a lot, so that's just off the top of my head. I'd welcome an explanation

You are a failed Brainard stooge, and it looks like the "Carmel Patriot" has won not only the blogger battles, but has soundly defeated Brainard. CARMEL PATRIOT is a GENIUS. Carmel Patriot---KEEP ON WRITING!! Give it up Carmel Patriot. It's hilarious to see that you do not know how to read and comprehend what you read. Never called Noblesville Dad any derogatory names. You are so confused from stealing names that you do not even recall calling yourself "the Real Noblesville Dad." Go change your diaper, Carmel Patriot.

The troll might be interesting if he/she actually had intelligent thoughts to give. Not so much the case; just taking other people's thoughts and screen names. It's nice of Topix to allow "anonymous" posters but really you can't expect intelligent discussion with people hiding behind screen names that they don't carry with them past one comment. I suggest you contact Topix directly with your comments!:) GO FLUX YOURSELF wrote: <quoted text> Give it up Carmel Patriot. Good for the Gander wrote: <quoted text> Would that include anyone living close to a private apartment complex that is going to redevelop? It would definately include someone who bought a home next to an apartment complex in the last year or so after plans for the extensive redevelopment / expansion were plastered all over the papers. If you know what you are moving in next to ...(why don't you but a house next to an oil refinery and then try to tell them to move if they don't want to deal with your ordinances?) MM was mining that location when 96th street was a dead end dirt road. If Carmel didn't want a working mine in the city limits they shouldn't have annexed them. If people didn't want their houses built on top of a working mine then they shouldn't have built them there (hmmm maybe thats one reason why that development in Marion Co stalled after 4 homes were built)

Everytime I drive down Hazeldell Parkway from Noblesville I smell that nasty smell. How could people live with that every day of their lives?

I'm assuming Carmel will try to zone away their own treatment plant next.(or perhaps Fishers will suddenly decide that all of the land under the river is part of Fishers)... There are still times when the actions of our neighbors to the north make being "Stuck in Marion Coounty" not seem so bad.
