Former Barbe Buccaneer charged with attempted armed robbery

LAKE CHARLES, LA A former Barbe Buc is feeling the heat off the field. According to Knoxville Police, three University of Tennessee football players - former Barbe safety Janzen Jackson, wide receiver Nu'Keese Richardson and defensive back Mike Edwards - were charged with attempted armed robbery early Thursday morning.

As a 1976 graduate of Barbe, and having known Barbesters over the years, I can say that Barbe has always placed their footballers on a pedestal. They are not held accountable for their actions. They claim that their football program build character, but I have not seen any evidence of that.
