While you have the little hate monger in town ask him how it feels to be respnsible for the death of a census taker. He and Michelle Bachmann must be very, very proud!

Mt Vernon motels require a credit card to rent a room; white-collar propagandists should have no problem.

Across the country motels have begun requiring a cerdit card to rent a room. As if there were an epidemic of motel rooms being trashed/items being stolen. Yet that's been the case with motels since time immemorial. Why now? Five year waiting list for public housing in Bellingham; Section 8 federal housing list was closed August 2008.

From the proportion of Beck supporters I have seen in the comments for various articles concerning the upcoming event, I can see it would be unwise for me to stop in anymore with my large multi-ethnic family. We used to spend about five hundred bucks a year or more on food, gas, produce, and souveniers in Mount Vernon on the way home from vacations in Birch Bay and Vancouver. It's not a lot of money but it has been consistent over the past twenty five years. From other responses I have seen, apparently there are others who view the circumstances similarly. Collectively, it could be adding up to a significant reduction of business for travel services, like restaurants, gas stations, and gift shops. I could not in good conscience subject my children and their children to potentially dangerous situations. There are just too many citizens of Mount Vernon who support Mr Beck. Mr Beck is an extremist who perpetuates ethnic intolerance and encourages those who might otherwise not act out violently. It leads me to believe there could be a significant proportion of the population who do not welcome our patronage, and would wish harm on us. That may not be the case but I have to make choices that protect my family irrespective of how remote the chances are. Unfortunately, there is no turning back. Even if the event was to be cancelled, there has been too many responses in support of Mr. Beck for me to assume my family would be safe. I will not likely visit Mount Vernon again with my family. It's a shame. We always looked forward to the visit. I'm not looking for sympathy but I offer it those who do not support the event but will nevertheless be hurt financially. I can only offer a bit of advice. Unless you wish to remain a small exclusive town that caters to "good ol' boys", watch out who you elect in the future. We will just be passing through from now on.

If you are this concerned regarding the responses you have seen, then maybe you should move to another country. It appears most people of our nation agree with the ideas supported by Mr Beck. Including smaller government, personal responsibility and ending corruption.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
