Sick people are money makers for medical and pharmaceutical, but they are being priced out of the medical care that they need do to profiteering and greed. No matter where you go in the United States for medical service it is so grossly overpriced, if you do not have medical insurance which is way overpriced, just to offset the high prices of medical service and pharmaceutical, you are out of luck. The trillions of dollars, and I do mean trillions, made by the medical care and pharmaceuticals are not going in to research for better treatments and cures, of serious illness. Just a small portion of this money is going in to research. Think about it, if you come up with cures for the serious illnesses. You have killed the golden goose. Fewer sick people, to make money off of. I suspect do to research there are certain treatments and cures for serious illness, being kept secret. Diabetes is a big-time money maker for the medical industry and pharmaceutical industry. Some of this money going into the hospitals for staff payroll, maintenance and utilities. New, overpriced hospital equipment and overpriced supplies. And their own health insurance policies that's another thing when someone with a lot of money comes down with a serious illness. Do you ever hear of them dying from this illness, very seldom? There are two standards in medical service. They do have treatments and cures for certain illnesses, but the general public is denied these treatments. The rest of this money going towards sixth figured number houses. And other things such as investments with tax shelters. Big-time money on Wall Street has dried up now Due to profiteering and greed. So lots of universities are cranking out students that have figured out; sick people can make them rich. The medical profession is just another big business now, with CEOs that know very little about medical care, and highly paid administrators and doctors. Sick people just give me your money. PS: the same thing applies to sick cars and trucks. Everything is overpriced to repair vehicles, Due to profiteering, and greed, and the big three auto makers engineer these problems into the vehicles. To support each other think about it.

I am wondering why the dental and orthodontist system not mentioned in the medical reform. When you go to the dentist the procedures are so overpriced, and the same way with the specialists and orthodontist. It falls back to profiteering, and greed. When you have a dental or special problem, who else are you going to go to, and they know that. And all of the dental insurance companies dictate what procedures you need, and what they will pay for. They do not care if it was an accident or a special situation beyond your control. Dental and insurance they have us and they know it. Dental it is just another big business, looking at the bottom line, trying to get as much it can out of the American people. And this time, it is the rich and the poor being taken advantage of.

There are so many factors that MAKE the medical field over priced as well as car auto repairs. In the medical field, it is all of the patients and the parents who take their children to the doctor over a runny nose as well as the medications that are prescribed, then the meds do not work on the patients and then they are prescribed MORE, and once again the cycle continues. The meds cannot be used again or provided to people by donations and have to be destroyed. Chemo and radiation, lab work for cumadin, HCV treatment, AIDS medications, and so forth are just more of the common causes of increased med treatment, as well as fraud. As the auto makers come up with fancier vehicles, of course the repair people are going to say "that place is hard to get to", and it will cost &---.-- more! My gawd, ONE TOOTH to implant is $1000.00? Dentures are $2300? A flipper is $500? Why? For a woman to have a partial hysterectomy due to a cantelope size ovarian cyst costs at least $30,000 to $60,000!!! Why? A man made replacement of a femoral artey costs at least $90,000 to $100,000. Why?

Actually, the procedures would be close to HALF the cost of people were not forced to waste meds, people stop taking a TRUE non-emergency to ER for something that can wait, fraud, and people stop being sue happy. Do you not know what the surgical procedures consist of? The ones I mentioned are NOT that difficult. It is not like brain surgery, heart surgery and other life on the line surgeries. As for the dental, really, they cosmetic mouth pieces are not from another human's good teeth, so why does it cost so much?

The ONLY reason why health care is so expensive is because they can CHARGE that unreasonable price to SOME people can still get paid (those on good insurance/medicare/mediaid); why would the hospitals/doctors charge anything less for the other people that can't pay them. This is all because health care is a distorted market: Some people paying nothing and some people paying everything and then some. The people that pays little for health is pushing the prices up for everybody.

I was recently reading in the paper about the health care reform that Obama & Washington wants. They want to make it mandatory to have health insurance. Ok fine, but the part I'm against is they want to fine heavily people who don't have it!?!?!? If someone cant afford to purchase health care now, how the heck do those pompous bureaucrats think these poor folks can afford the purposed fines? I know some people just flat wont buy but some cant & cant get help either, my late mother was one, all her widows pension, which was $1250 a mth, went to paying for her cancer treatments, but when she asked for help they said she made $11 to much a month. Just so she could eat WE the extended family members had to pay for her food & house payments utilities etc. Finally she moved in with my older sister. Everything , & I do mean Everything that she had coming in went to Dr's. There was no way she could afford health insurance, the one she had dropped her & my late father after he got sick. & no other company would pick her up due the fact that she was battling cancer. So instead of penalizing those who cant afford it, pass a bill to where health insurance is more affordable & they cant drop people when they need them the most, WHEN THEY ARE SICK!!!! This will keep more Americans on health insurance. Also give the help to those AMERICANS who need it, & have earned it. not pass it out like candy to those who refuse to try.
