Ours went down around 1:30 yesterday and was still out at 9:30 last night. I dunno what time it finally started working and if this were the first time it might be different.
Their customer service said it was Carlsbad, Jal, Alpine, Hobbs and surrounding areas. I was hoping when Baja took over US Cable it'd get better but we can see that didn't happen.

I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB after the girl at Baja insulted me by saying she would give me a 6 day credit when I was resetting my modem multiple times a day for over a month...the problem still persists but at least got a months credit on my bill....maybe if everyone files the complaints, something will get done

Are there any decent ISP's here? We have PVT which is slow, Windstream isn't available since we're out of the city limits and we were thinking of trying Baja. Some people say it's great while others say it's awful, is it hit or miss depending on location? I did a speed test on PVT and we're only getting 1.31 Mbps download and .49 Mbps upload. There has to be better out there.

I think it depends on where your location is because I have baja broadband and it has good service where I live. Just when the weather is bad it starts to mess up a little bit.

My bill went up $10 for the same channels. For once, I was a few days late & they have the NERVE to charge me a $6 over due fee. I DON'T like them!!!

I had bad service for 2 months. And sometime no service at all, that's upsetting ,but baja techs took care of it .some animal up in the lines. Bite the wires that was bad after complainting finally there was some one with some sense to send ,some tech to ck it out .and if Customers speak nice to the employees that work there ,they will be nice to you.its just the companies fault,not the employees!!!!!!

windstream is a great service provider. i have had it for about 2 and a half years now and i had an outage once, for about 3 hours... and because i called to report it they called me back when it was up and running, just to check.
i forgot my wifi password and had to call to get it, they were fast and friendly, very helpful. if you are in the area where its available, go windstream.

they plan to take it to white city 16 miles

An alternative? Call KATHY at PVT in Artesia

BAJA totally sucks!! If my cable and internet aren't fixed by the end of tomorrow, I will be shopping for other alternatives.

baja messed up my bill and i have been fighting for almost a year for them to fix.every time i call they say its been taken care of and the next bill there it is again.im going to contact the p.u.c. and see if that lights a fire under there ass.AND THERE SERVICE SUCKS.going to switch to another cable and internet company.

there customer service is horrible!!!!!!!!!!and my bill keeps going up.usually when you pay more you get more but its the oposite with these jackasses.
