Baja is worse than us cable...
Outage 3x in last 10 days

BAJA service phone line recording says they are dropping calls(yes they are)
and they want to sell me a phone bundle -- and the can't even keep their office phones working... kidding, right

I dont know but ever since they took over i feel like my internet has slowed down and i dont even get the same speed test results anymore.

i heard from someone in Alamogordo (Baja has been in Alamo for years) that it will only get worse

First thing I noticed is that my monthly bill went up $25.

Our bill went up 20 bucks, so we cancelled their services. The lady there said they were busy with people cancelling services..

What is the best internet service? I have been thinking about changing mine. I just don't know who would be the best to use.

Did they actually cancel your service? I was with US cable and cancelled internet and they billed me for two months after and then sent me to a collection agency. I kept calling and trying to go in and never got to talk to anyone.

What are your thoughts on Windstream? Many years ago I had it, but wasn`t pleased. Did they get any better?

I know people that have Windstream and it is hit or miss. My mom has it and everytime it rains or gets windy, her internet goes down. One friend is supposedly has 3.0 mpeg and everytime he goes above 1.5 it shuts off. I have PVT and other than needing to let streaming videos load first, it is great. In six months, there has been one outage and it lasted for a couple of hours.

Not only has internet been slow and intermittant now cable goes out on channel 8. Right befor prime time Olympic coverage. That's just wrong.

I use PVT. They are wireless, you get an antenna installed. It's not a fast service but I can watch Netflix on it.

Runs around $45 a month. Local people and a co-op. Something to be said for that.

They occasionally go out for a bit, but they don't have all those wires that go down in bad weather.

They aren't fast enough to be ideal but good if you aren't too picky.

Totally failed on me last year. My line went down in a storm. I visited the office several times, bought a cell phone, called them. After five tries like this I get this guy who says their software has been randomly changing my service address, and that was why the service guys never showed up.

Also, Windstream lines ALWAYS go down in bad weather. They give landline services a bad name.

Direct TV and windstream. Why pay for a sub-par service? THEY SUCKED WHEN THEY WERE U.S.CABLE.

Baja down again yesterday for HOURS?!? Really?? I'm starting to see a pattern here.
Every time internet goes down, everyone should call and demand credit on their bill for down time. Maybe that would get their attention.
