No, I will NOT tell a person what to do. If that person has a question they can message me. At least I can do my best to help people.

Just cause your in school to be a nurse Michele you cant legally give advice on this topic.. I can tell you what to do tho. ADHD is a white people problem they never punished the kid so now anytime he throws a fit and cant focus they say "Ohh well he has ADHD"

well, I'm not white. I'm Latina. Yes, medicine is the last resort. I don't believe in giving my child medication just cause he's hyper or does not listen. There has got to be another way to control this.

Have you taken the kid to the doctor? Tons of physical activity will help to wear out the child.

yes I did take my kid to the doctor. The teacher has to fill out a questionnaire and then we go from there. I have put my child in sports but the coaches don't understand that my child doesn't understand the game very well. We practice at home a lot. He just likes to run around and play, so when that happens the coach usually just puts him on the bench and won't let him play. Very frustrating.

Create a routine for your child, change diet and exercise and will help out.

That was a good comment that you responded to. Sorry about the mean ones.

Far as diet goes, less sugar, more protein. Protein helps to stabilize a person's metabolism, and I mean meat. Don't have to have it every day or consume too much fat, but I've found it helps a lot. I used to be a vegetarian but my body was just crying out for meat. We're omnivores but we did not evolve to be vegetarians, we cannot digest cellulose, the whole idea is absurd.

And vegans have terrible problems, including bad mood swing stuff and even bone deterioration. Meat and fruit and vegetables, dairy is fine as long as you tolerate it, and not too much in the way of grain products or fat or sugar. Best diet around.

I would try and watch the sugar/chocolate intake. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have allergy testing done at Dr. Perkowski's office. I find out I was highly allergic to the red dye (such as the cherry flavoring.) It was the source of heart palpitations, etc. Who knew something so trivial could cause such problems?
Good luck and keep us updated.

LMAO!! Lol, someone was giving you advice listening to the news obviously. Try having his magnesium tested, try melatonin. Try finding out if he has any type of seizures, look for signs of petite mal seizures. ADHD can be secondary to a problem, meaning it is the cause of something else already taking place. Think about Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

Your comment doesnt even make sense concerning ADHD. Having a child run around is impossible with that child also trying to do homework as the child has to sit down. The brain is channel surfing with ADHD. Too many people do not understand ADHD.

See about gluten intolerance or if another family member is allergic to wheat, which can also be a possibility to G.I.

With what you just wrote, I am wondering if there is something else going on and I would see if there is. ADHD does not keep a child from not understanding a game. Your child should be able to understand. I would check into Austism if he has the signs.
