you mean STEAL a citizens PRIVATE PROPERTY, Wow way to go. Since these citizens of our country OWN THEIR property & want to keep it that's no concern of ours they have no right to THEIR property, lets just go & STEAL it! Cause of course that's the right thing to do! You are one messed up person & your statement speaks VOLUMES about your morals! Shame on you. What belongs to someone is theirs to decide how to use or how & when if ever to sell it NOT the general populations! Or the Gov. We didn't buy it ,we don't pay taxes on it, the OWNERS do, so if & when we decide to pay others property taxes we have NO right to have a say in another's private property. You want the leaders to step up then have them study & find alternate routes or a solution that they & the property owners can live with , WITHOUT STEALING OTHERS PRIVATE PROPERTY! You have a very Marxist view of others belongings ( ie property) you sure your an American?

we are not talking about a house - not even a barn
it is just grown up mesquite bushes

in the meantime, people are being killed by the big trucks in town
build it already

If the county uses "eminent domain" they will pay these lands owners a fair market value for the land they take. I am sure the two landowners were thinking that selling a little chunk of their property was going to be like winning the lottery. Now they may only get what is fair.

iwould agree with you on most of it...but this has been going on for hundreds of years....the good of the many outweigh the good of the one....spock....the indians would agree also....the many overpasses in big cities have taken land that was peoples houses and land and were needed for highways....the landowners here have been negotiating...which means they are willing to sell for the right price.....but if they dont sell then they can have their land condemned and taken away if necessary....so giving them the same price as the others who sold is fair and equitable for the many.....it would happen to you if you owned this land...of course there is unfairness in city dealings....i was at a meeting where joe brinninstool was donating some land to the city so that a road could be built....they insisted on paying him for it....at a steep price....and built the road also....so with money comes priviledges....
