I bet they knew they were up for closure and they spent the $$ for improvements thinking it would make them look better and beat the closure. They chose poorly.

TOTAL B/S! The heritage center is part of the Carlisle Barracks. The Carlisle Barracks is as Historical as it gets! It is comparable to West Point there have been lots of great generals produced there! Whats next? Maybe they will want to move the Indian cemetery out of there so no one has to take care of it. You're slapping Pa. and America in the face!!!!!

Seriously?!This government can find more ways to wasted money! This should have been thought about more closely before spending that much money on something- only to close it shortly afterwards! Don't re-elect anyone!!!!!!!

Its the American way. We are good at wasting money. So sure, lets close it, then borrow a pile of money to build a new one somewhere else. Its only money, we can always print more.

The Carlisle Heritage Center is a great vehicle for teaching history to our youth. They just put on a most informative 2 days on Armed Forced Day. Do not let the politicians and their minions steal this wonderful asset from the people of Pennsylvania. We can learn and enjoy history here, without traveling countless miles to Virginia.

Stop the wasteful spending now! There is no justification for the move but political. Time for a return to the values of our Founding Fathers. USA is turning into a nation of waste, greed and injustice.

Be happy! Barry O'Bama visited the Emerald Isle. Life is good. He plans to visit the tornado damaged areas of the U.S. on Sunday for another photo-op. Don't forget he is campaigning for 2012.

So what else is new. It's all about the politics. There's a lot more money around D.C.
