I can not understand why it takes 4 1/2 hours to restore the free flow of traffic on a major interstate highway after a two car accident. The first priority must be to care for injured parties, next is to clear the wreckage, then restore the flow of traffic. Any investigating that may need to be done should be the lowest priority activity and should not be done at the peril and inconvenience of other motorist or the communities in the vicinity.

A man is killed on the highway of death and all you care about is tying up traffic.

When someone is killed in a auto accident the police have to get the details right or some lawyer will really profit big from it. The poor deceased family probably have lawyers lined up in front of thier house this morning.

That is just what happens...if you have ever had someone you know or someone you love die in an accident, you would not want them to rush through to see how or why it happened! You would want answers! This is just how it is! If you don't like it stay off the freeway! Some families, want them to have them investigate to have closer.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of the man who was killed and the man who was injured!

As i was on a nice evening ride on my ATV i looked down over 81 and saw people rushing around...i saw the cars i saw the emergency units...and much else that i will not go into detail about on a public comment board...but they wasted no time...what they had to do is what they did, and they did nothing else...maB you should put yourself in a friend or families position and think about them being your friends or sons...wouldn't you want them to make sure the job was done correctly!?!

Ive got to wonder if Madrid has ANY experience at all in Law Enforcement or even just a bit of common sense. Anytime an accident of this nature occurs, an investigation must be done. Unfortunately, that means traffic may be tied up for a while. I think the focus should be on the loss of a young life and the altering of a few others involved rather than the altering of travel for a few hours. Madrid, your comments are insensitive, misguided and uncalled for. Please take a moment to think and attempt to filter your comments before posting again. If you can manage to do that, maybe, just maybe, you won't sound like such a bone head in future posts

Mr MADRID,
Obviously you know nothing about crash investigation. I'm sure if it was a family member of yours, you would want a full investigation....THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!!!!!

One of Madrid's neighbors said a few months back that John is an "idiot savant". He paused a bit then added, "You better hold the savant."

What caused Anthony Charles Kratochvil to run off the highway and hit the Plymouth? Was Kratochvil taken for a blood test to determine if he was operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs?

I clicked on the comments and was amazed/shocked at the first comment. I think everyone has covered the same point I would make. Prayers to the family.

I wonder with all the talk about speeding on I-81, if that was the case with this accident.

This is why I have AAA. Call them and they will send someone to fix your car or tow it.
And as for Kratochvil, check him out PA police. Why did he run off the road?

I agree with Good Grief. I'm sure if this was one of your family members you would feel differently!
