Maybe this time people will pay attention. Especially to his song I AIN'T MARCHING ANYMORE. Instead of being suckered into fighting and dying in wars to benefit the Elites and Oligarchs of the New World Order try ignoring the lies of the ruling class.

Way ahead of his time & glad I was part of his generation. Sad on his

life's future wanderings, but he left his mark & will never be forgotten as long

as people struggle for their freedoms. To see an interesting part of

Americana, check out the DVD TV show from 1963-64 - Hootenanny.

Shows many of Phil's contemporaries on it..I sang along to most of it.

Love Me Love Me Love Me I'm a Liberal- always loved that song on the album my parents had of his stuff, although the liberals he was referring to were an earlier generation, not the aging hippie lifestyle liberals of today.

I also remembered being very puzzled by a line of his referring to the D.A.R. as "the Dykes of the American Revolution". Not very PC, Phil.

What a bunch of losers really. And their followers. The only thing they did right was protest the Vietnam involvement so not total losers.

Phil Ochs infused his songs with a bitter irony, black humor, and perception that things are not always as they seem.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Leo

You have your head screwed on the right way when it comes to thinking about work and other important areas of your life. In fact, you're uncharacteristically practical and efficient. No one will be able to fool you. Ideally, you'll prefer your own company while you're doing all this because it will help you to concentrate more fully and not be distracted by what's happening around you.
