Anyone see the movie HottFuzz where the town elders were dealing with anyone trying to change the town or bring it into modern times by "making them go away"...?? Reminds me of Carlisle. The officers probably wanted to put an incandescent light bulb outside the station, so that was the end of them.

Maybe its a secret Vacation? Why should the town's taxpayers be enlightened, after all they just pay all the bills. What right do they have to know what is going on? The laugh is that if one of those taxpayers did anything wrong, it would be in every newspaper in the state, but since it involves those saints known as "first responders" mums the word!! Pathetic!!

Your absolutely right!! If it were anybody else, their names would have been in print along with what they are accused of. We the taxpayers who are paying their salaries deserve an explanation!

"We truly support the two officers involved," Kennedy said. "Hopefully, they will work it out and stay. I hope they get the situation rectified and get back on the job."

How do you support them if you don't know what they are being punished for?

In lowell the police dept is using taxpayers money to learn, how to psychologically abuse coworkers and the public,to make you jobless and homeless and insane. to set you up for future arrest.
they are studying: verbal judo tactics, gestapo tactics, and gang stalking world tactics. they have driven criminals and priest accused of commiting crimes to forced suicide. they are using this tacticson single woman and the public for practice,to have someone to practice on.

Police get away with anything they want, including drinking and driving. It's amazing the privledges these folks get. They never get unpaid leave, Quinn Bill, overpaid and underworked, ETC... These are the losers who vote for Deval "Illegal Immigrant Advocate" Patrick. It's all about those corrupt unions, woo hoo. Unions and pensions are ruining this country.

Knowing one of the officers involved, all I can say is find out the entire truth before making judgements. He is an honest hardworking person who doesnt do anything wrong.

This has been poorly handled. Without compromising the investigation, there should have been an offical statement given to the news media addressing this in generalizations which would at least show some degree of transparency. A good pr person and lawyer could have accomplished as thepages of newspapers across the state have done this type of statement. Otherwise, coverup, rumors, allegations run rampant along with a real distrust of local elected and appointe officials who are guilty in the court of public opinion of a coverup.

Its interesting, "Crisis Carlisle" is so quiet the cops have nothing to do but get in trouble themselves! The biggest threat isn't hitting a deer on your shift guys, it's getting caught in the headlights of your own administration!
The residents of this mosquito infested place want control! No civil service = no protection. It's the old union reps turn, hey guys don't laugh or get too eager to step in because it's all relevant, you think you have control, but you have none! Town selectman and resident are the ones with the control. Your job is to check the mail, drive around here and there avoiding the political traps. Besides, being in charge of a mountain of crap isn't success! 21 years of service means nothing, one wrong comment, or look, or action and everyone steps away from you and your singled out and fired!

Sadly, the Sgt. disciplined a Patrol Officer unfairly for a minor infraction. Patrol Officer felt unfairly treated by the Sgt. & Chief so he outed them to the Board of Selectmen for unprofessional conduct (infidelity) while on duty, and claimed Chief allowed same because he had participated in similar manner with another employee in the Dept. In short, Carlisle has 3 police supervisors and two of them probably could be doing a much better job. All Carlisle Officers are contract employees and the Town doesn't need to give them a new contract if they aren't performing at the highest levels that the community expects of its officers. carlisle is a small town with so many cliches & it may need to find new Police Leadership from outside the community depending on what the investigation reveals, and if discipline follows or not. It is illegal for the Town to make statements about a sensitve personnel investigation. The Board of Selectmen and Town Administrator should keep the matter confidential and only discuss it in Execution Session, and perhaps consider allowing the officers involved to retire to avoid potential job action law suits or just not give them a new contract when their contracts expire if the complaints against them warrant this. If they are in fact cleared of the matter, then a public statement is appropriate and warranted to keep public confidence in their police leadership team.

What a silly article! There is no info except to tell you there is no info.

No mention of Carlisle being one of the wealthiest towns, either. The $$$ in this town certainly gives residents a sense of entitlement. I see it every time a car races down my road, ignoring speed limits and pedistrians/kids.
