I feel bad for leaking information ,given that my candidate Sam is no better. I'm concrned that when others find out his life story is made up it will be over!

Seems 3 candidates vote when they have the chance. They don't go out of their way.

The fact is Tom Weaver not only voted but actually gave back to the District, the State and the Country. The othes just didn't have the time.

Folks this is an important election. Tom Weaver took time during the past 40 years to participate and GIVE BACK.

Small Business Owner
Father of son in Military

Cub Scout Leader

What did the other 3 do, well they were too busy with other things. Making Money.

Time for us to reward loyalty and dedication.

Please vote for Tom Weaver, prove that if you give to us, we will vote for you!!!

Go Tom!!!

I called Sam Meas's High School yesterday... They confirmed he NEVER attended the school he states he attended on his website.

I can't believe he would run for congress an LIE about his Highschool??

Go Weaver!!

Years ago there was a television ad for Smith Barney a Financial Investment Company.

The spokesman said Smith Barney gets business the Old Fashion Way. THE EARN IT!!

Well Tom Weaver deserves our vote, because he EARNED IT.

Vote Tom Weaver!!!

Not that big of a deal when every election (state and local) is just a field of Democrats running unopposed. It's depressing at best!

Tom Weaver is BY FAR the best choice. The rest of the candidates are a very lame bunch.

Tom Weaver is my choice for the reasons already mentioned.

Why is the Sun ignoring the Dahlberg vs. Martinez race?

In multiple newspaper articles, Dahlberg said he was never really interested in politics and ran for selectman "on a whim."

I would be interested in knowing whether he bothered to vote.

As people who read these comments, know the 'Iron Mike' post isn't Mike from Rabid Republican, who happens to support Sam Meas. Pretty sad at what length people go to with a false persona to manipulate readers.

I think it is time the Lowell Sun/Topix goes to a 'real identity' based forum. It's kills real discussions.

As for Sam in America this is from his website.

http://www.sammeasforcongress.com/index.php...

"Sam arrived in the United States on November 16, 1986, as a foster child of the Abbey family of Richmond, Virginia. Chris and Louise Abbey gave Sam as much as love, care, and support as they gave their own children, two boys and two girls. Sam lived with the Abbeys for three years, but due to the difficult transition from Cambodia, the refugee camp experience, acculturalization, as well as assimilation to the American way of life, Sam decided to transfer to a group home for boys and girls in Glen Allen, about 30 miles outside of Richmond. Sam lived in the group home for a little over year before he was adopted by Susan E. Morey, a single parent and teacher, in 1992. All during his difficult transition period, Sam pursued his education. After two years at the Albert H. Hill Middle School, he skipped the eighth grade, and in the fall of 1989 he enrolled as a high school freshman in Trinity Episcopal High School, an excellent private school in Richmond, Virginia. The many scholarships he received enabled him to complete his high-school education there. Upon graduation from Trinity Episcopal High, Sam was accepted to Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech). He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1996 and moved to Boston, Massachusetts."

The people who are attacking Sam Meas are pretty low, which is even more reason to like Sam.

Also in Virginia where Sam Meas went to high school, they did an article on Sam last month.

http://www2.timesdispatch.com/news/2010/aug/1...

"Meas was one of four refugee children adopted by Morey, who volunteered at the time with Catholic Charities' refugee resettlement program and now works as an assistant professor of human resource management at the American University of Sharjah in United Arab Emirates. She's in Richmond for the summer.

He attended Albert Hill Middle School and Henrico High School, and he ultimately won a scholarship to Trinity Episcopal School, contributing not only his winning personality but a powerful dose of perspective. In Rob Short's human-biology class one day, a number of students were complaining about the stress of upcoming tests and papers they needed to write.

"Sam was a quiet kid," recalled Short, now assistant head of school at Trinity, "but he stood up in the middle of class amid this back-and-forth whining and he said,'You don't know the meaning of stress.' I didn't have any trouble with that class the rest of the year."

Meas moved to New England after graduating from Virginia Tech in 1996 with a degree in finance. He's married with two young daughters."

I think it is pretty clear the media has verified where Sam Meas went to school.

Trinity Episcopal High School in Richmond, Virginia has stated that Sam Meas NEVER attended their school. You can call them, ask for Mary Ellen Green, she is dean of records and will confirm.

Sam should stop lying about his past!!!

A couple of questions for the candidates. What is your stance on the filthy, disease ridden, burrito bellied, fat pig, illegal border jumping, wetback mexicans who break into OUR country and TAKE from the people who were born, raised, worked, and built this country? Would you let them be pardoned and be given immunity to become citizens? Or would you give them 24 hrs to get back into mexico before you turn the general populace loose on them so they could be murdered and buried in unmarked graves? What is your stance on letting lowlife lazy slobs remain on welfare, at the working Americans expense, year after year? Those are just a couple of questions I would like answered before I waste my vote on someone whos interest is not in America, but in the taxpayers pocket.

Last year Meas was for amnesty but claims to have had an epiphany. I doubt it. The other three are for closed borders and always have been.

I think that it has gone beyond the need to seal the borders. As our mission in Afghanistan was complete many years ago (it was not nation building), the 101st airborne should be brought home to set up a 30-50 mile corridor (safe zone) on the Mexican side of the border. Mexico today poses a much greater real threat to the security and safety of our nation than IRAQ ever did. We need a new J.J.(Black Jack) Pershing to remind us how to handle radical Islamic terrorists and Mexican banditos. With this secure safe zone the Navy Sea Bees should be brought in the use indigenous labor to build schools and clinics using the aid money we are wasting on the government of President Calderon. We would probably have US citizens illegally immigrating to Mexico to earn money to send back to the States.

I encourage all real Democrats (no progressives allowed) and Independent voters to write in my name (DALE E. BROWN Chelmsford) on the Democrat Primary Ballot September 14. I believe that the turn out will be such that with a solid 6,000 write ins, I could replace Niki on the Democrat ticket in the General Election. It will take 60,000 votes to overturn her in November

I wonder if any of these frantic anti-Meas posters are the same people who were whining all over the blogosphere last week when news reports emerged about Jon Golnik's arrest and conviction for DUI drugs and alcohol, the illegal drug portion of which charge he continues, incredibly, to deny, despite statements by the two arresting police officers and a court-filed memorandum by his own defense counsel?

I wonder if any of these ant-Meas posters make the analytical distinction between a failure to vote in a small handful of elections (most of them local) and an outright failure even to register to vote (a failure that no doubt precedes Candidate Golnik's arrival in Massachusetts)?

And as for professional boy scout and altar boy Tom Weaver, who has now, at the 11th hour, decided to assume a holier than thou attitude and throw punches at the rest of the field, I ask: What took you so long to get real, Mr. Goody-Good?

I want someone who is real, someone who is clean, and someone who can beat Niki Tsongas running in the general.

I want Sam Meas.
