Kazanjian project's sewer tie-in questioned

A new commercial building in Chelmsford built by Kazanjian Enterprises Inc., a Lowell firm owned by City Councilor Alan Kazanjian, was connected to Lowell's sewer system five months after City Engineer Lisa DeMeo issued an order denying the connection, The Sun has learned.

Who is paying the sewage fees? Is Lowell losing out on large amounts of sewage fees because a Lowell City Council once again says he didn't know what was going on. You can only claim ignorance once and then it's up to the rest of us to make you accountaable-at the polls and legally,

This sneaky arrogant SOB has done it again to the tax payers in the city of Lowell. He did this figuring he wouldnt get caught. How many other deceitful things has he gotten away with? This obviously isnt the first time he has done something like this. This is beyond outrageous at this point. I can't wait for Kaz to play dumb on this as well. We all know hes dumb but even he isnt this dumb.

This kind stuff happens with builders all the time. I think, in this case, we're getting the story because the builder is being investigated already.

I am **not** saying these practices are ok because "everyone else is doing it". I'm saying he's just getting caught.

More scrutiny needs to be put on builders. The ones doing things right will benefit because they're already ok. The scrutiny will help them by eliminating builders that can bid lower because they cheat by cutting corners.

he will win the election and after the results of this grand jury will come out and he will get booted out. Then the city will have to cover the expenses of replacing him. Obviously the grand jury is taking a while (unless I missed something) and there are a lot of resources put into this investigation. So I can only imagine what else will come out in the wash, but if he cared about the city he would resign.

If he is found guilty of any wrong doings that are felonies I think the city should ban him from excepting any forms of contracts (like towing) in the city and not allow him to build or develop any new projects.

Resign AK, move to Florida and retire...you have plenty of our money to live on.

This is just unreal it just keeps getting worse. If the residents of Lowell vote this criminal in again they are fools. What is going on at City Hall? Really, no one knew about this illegal connection? There needs to be firing and arrests. Good honest people are working hard and fooling the rules and all you read about it clearly illegal activity. He must resign immediately or if re-elected there should be a recall election. I am contacting the Boston News stations so they can bring this to light!!
