As a Groton Resident for over 19 years. I only have one question, Who exactly is Sheila Harrington?
She comes from my town and has not ever been in town government, not on a voluntary board, or committee, Why did she not run for the Selectman’s seat that was recently open? Or was it a deal between her and the loathsome creature that is retiring? There is a lot of talk about her not wanting to “Debate”, this comes as a surprise, exactly why? Her mentor is Bob Hargraves, when he first ran I voted for him, he was hungry and would go anywhere and talk about anything, once elected he used the office and then refused to go anywhere or talk to any opponent, He is teaching this Harrington, so it should be no surprise . I stopped voting for Hargraves (and did not vote for him for Selectmen, I can’t stomach career politicians) and I’ll certainly not vote for this Harrington! There is another issue that speaks to qualifications, I this went to a available web site and her voting record and activism is clearly on display (Votecorecalues) It seems that this lady who long term Grotonites don’t know apparently did not like to involves herself in the basics of citizenry, She has not voted, In 2006, the local Groton Election of the State wide contests, meaning she did not even bother to vote for Hargraves; In 2007, Special Congressional Election; In 2008, Local Election Groton, the Presidential/State Primary and Presidential/State General, meaning she missed voting for Hargraves again, and he is endorsing her? And then the 2009, Local Election. We have changed forms of government in our town from by-laws to Charter (I was opposed to this as it lessens citizens involvement) apparently this Harrington could not be bothered, since she has missed every annual or special town meeting since 2004, 19 In total. So as a long time resident, maddened at continuous overrides attempts, the limitation of my ability to involve myself in town government, This Harrington does not bother to become involved and now wants ME to vote for her, apparently because Bob supports her.
Myself and my friends,(not many of whom know this young lady) will be voting, but not for her!

Remember, those who live in Groton, completely look down their nose at Pepperell.
