Yes I remember the memo that was sent out throughout Middlesex County police departments regarding the smear campaign that was going to be launched against the Kennedy's. How dare she deny a date to a cop. It took two weeks to implement.

The cop didn't sleep with trash because Michelle turned him down for a date 25 years ago. Since that time every Billerica, Lowell, Dracut and state police agency has picked on her including the National Guard. I hope they never see a dime because I think they are scam artists and I know they are now felons.

Now all that needs to be done is for the settlement claim to be proven to be based on lies. If the tapes show the entire matter was a setup against the Billerica cops they are in a lot of trouble.

Earlier this year, good ol' Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis had to remind the Boston Police that lying on police reports and lying during court testimony was a no-no. I suppose that before Eddy Boy gave his troups the reminder; lying was considered a useful tool for some of Boston's blueboys.

And now, the Billerica Police are claiming that the Kennedy's are lying. Boy, talk about the pot calling the kettle black........

What do you call someone who constantly comments on something that they don't have any facts about.
What do you call someone who constantly berates a profession while cowardly hiding behind a keyboard tucked away in a cubicle or basement. What? Pathetic?

I sounds like I may have struck a nerve with my post. Good, because that was my intention.

I don't make any thing up here Folks; and I don't distort the truth. The facts speak for themselves; Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis DID go on record earlier this year for telling his boys that lying on police reports and in courtrooms was not going to be allowed. And, obviously enough, Mr Ed would not have steeped up to the issue if it wasn't actually an issue.

Jeeze; right now down in New Orleans there is a big f-ing case going on because the cops opened fired on unarmed civilians immediately after Hurricane Katrina; killing two unarmed men and blowing the arm off of a woman; and they behaved as many cops behave under the same circumstances: they held a few private meeetings amongst themselves in order to cobble up a false story; and they planted a phoney gun at the scene of their murders.

Now, I am afraid that it is true. Lying by the police is not the least bit uncommon an accurance.......

Lying on police reports is absolutely commonplace. Generally speaking the fewer witnesses and the more unclear the case or the evidence, the more likely that police will lie. If ten people watch a man shoot someone, then there is no reason to lie on the police report. However when police are just fishing, when its a hunch, a witch hunt or a pinning of a charge on someone to get them 'dragged into court' then police go all out. One of the advantages to cops is that what they write is given greater weight than what another may say, and so they have the power to skew an outcome by lying.

Anyone who operates under the blind and hopeful assumpion that cops are honest and truthful on police reports has their head in the sand.

Finally there is justice in this case.

Looks like the Kennedys will have to either work for money when they get out of the slammer.

Well said. I agree with you 100%. There has recently been a few cases; one here in Mass and one in Connecticut, where somehow someone died while being arrested by the fuzz. And, in both of these cases, the cops quickly chaulked it up to just plain bad luck on the part of the deadmen; with nothing out of line by any of the police at the scene. I don't buy it. I see it from a different perspective: cold blooded murders that go unchecked...

I don't doubt that for a moment. They sound like real white trash to me. But, the cops need to follow PPP (Proper Police Procedure); even when they are dealing with white trash. Obviously, the judge in the case awarded the Kennedy's the loot because the police did not follow PPP.

Sure, it is possible that the Kennedy's lied in the courtroom. After seeing for myself, firsthand, more than one example of police lying in courtrooms, I can't blame the Kennedys one bit if they did lie. The cops in general have already established the rules in a courtroom: go ahead and lie if it helps you to build your case..........

Obviously the second judge overturned the first decision because the first trial was botched.

I CAN blame the Kennedys if they did lie. No police lies were proven in this particular case.

If the recently discovered audio tapes prove this was a plot hatched by the Kennedys they are in big trouble.

A cop is turned down for a date and it starts 20 years of harassment by 4o officers and two police departments...SURE.
