Hey Carmine,

Your opinion is worth squat, and your facts a skewed.

As far as turning off anybody with my tone, if I can turn them off with just my tone it proves that those who are turned off would not have been of any value or even any significant assistance to achieving the end results. If you had been involved with all this political cronyism and influence to shove many proposals like power plants, and 40B’s down everyone in the Valley’s throats then you would have realized by now that it is not a task for the timid because with tone and attitude you will get results when the deck is heavily stacked against you. As far as the bull crap posted on the blogs which need to be clarified I responded in an effective manner. There is a time and a place for civility, but civility is not always effective considering submitting false statements and evidence under sworn testimony appears to be acceptable in so-called law.

Carmine lose some weight or buy some larger shirts you look and sound like a overweight child. It is time for you to live in the real world.

Bingo: You just can't see the facts. Many towns are considering regionalization. For example, having a Board of Health Director do the work for more than one town. Veterans Agents do it now. In many towns, Managers have more than one area of responsibility. And you're right, didn't Scanlon do it for 3-5 months? As for the DPW, I don't know - you seem to have a connection there. But they got rid of O'D and look what they got. Guess Andy Boy owes them and they have him in their back pocket. But you didn't face up to all the facts about your two little cronies, Lombardo and Rosa. Many towns people are saying this is the worst leadership on the Board ever. They drove Williams out. By the way, I was in Lowell last night for a Republican fund raiser and saw your boy Lombardo there. Guess he cares more about politics than going to an important meeting about a North Billerica problem.
You are right about one thing, many towns and businesses are consolidating positions and jobs.

What you fail to say, maybe on purpose, they don't just pay people more money. One day they just TELL THEM, now you must also do this AS part of your job.

For four months the Assessor had time, to do both Acting TM and Assessor, now he thinks he can do Asst. TM and Assessors job. He must have loads of extra time on his hands. Maybe the town should look into what is required in these positions and cut back the paid hours, or in this case, just say your job now includes these extra tasks.

Only in Billerica is it called creative, to spend $50,000. and not get an extra body, but just pay more.

The simple solution would have been to get a recent Political Science Grad. pay them $30,000.00 plus benefits and actually get a full time employee. There are loads of college grads that would love a job for $30k to get experience, and with a big upside.

With the Assessors years he probably gets 5 weeks vacation, so not only, will we get less from both offices we will have him on vacation 5 weeks a year.

The Assessor was a bad choice, thank heavens at least two selectmen spoke out, profiles in courage finally, instead of go along to get along..

We keep using the title Assessor without acknowledging in our case we have a person of many talents. Time and again he has proved his worth in handling his job respomsibilities.
On occassion, an employer gets an employee who has unique skills that enhance an organizations goal acheivement potential. Unfortunately, in this case we will not be able to reep the rewards by giving up a little, yes a little in the totality of the situation, to benefit from this skilled individual expanding his role in managing the town.
He might be so proficient in what he does as Assesssor, that he does have plenty of time on his hands, and shame on us for not acknowledhging that and occupying his work time with more and meaningfull duties.
