You don't have to be an alcoholic to cause a serious automobile accident. All it takes is just one error in judgment to destroy not one, but two or more families, says Patrick O'Donoghue. He should know.

Congratulations! And, thank you for your devoted service. You are a great example to your town and to the public at large. I wish you much success in the future.

I may live in Billerica, but I frequently travel to Littleton to visit my son and his family. It's comforting knowing you are on patrol

A patrolman such as this man is an inspiration to young guys like myself coming into the police world. Once upon a time a patrolman told me:

Be fair out there and treat people with respect but don't let them think your not in charge, be honest and wear the uniform with pride. Always put your integrity first, it's an awesome profession and there are so many that would give blood to be where you are. Be yourself and don't change.

Officer O'Donoghue is an inspiration to any young guy like myself.

I can't think of a more deserving officers than Patrick and Ed. They are the true example of what it means to be a great police officer and I am very honored to know them both. My father is a retired cop of 30 years and it is good to know that there are still good guys out there. Congrats to both of you!
