That has Nothing to do about this story !!
To be fair, neither does your post about my post. Feel free to skip it, or do you have some kind of disease that makes you read an entire post without the ability to stop and move on to the next one?

116 MPH for a backup call on vagrants??? Sounds like this trooper didn't pay too much attention in the "speed kills" class. Have seen it plenty of times when troopers show up in the emergency room to question people, drag drunks in and the like. Arrogant, pompous and "don't mess with me I'm a state trooper" attitude. They are not all like that, but there are plenty of them out there. His stupidness cost him dearly.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. But did this happen on the Autobahn, NO It did Not. People like "The Original James" should not be posting.

Excellent addition to this topic. I'm so glad complaining about other people's posts is considered "on topic". Your continued persistence is perpetuating your desired consequence.

I have to agree with most of the posts here. Especially the one about Ohio roads. They are simply not built for those speeds (which make the Autobahn discussion relevant).

I feel for the guilt for the injured officer. He must feel terrible for either allowing the rookie to drive like that or egging him on.

Simply put...This was a an accident. Preventable? Yes, but still an accident. There was no intent. People should be able to learn from their mistakes. This officer is gone but hopefully others will learn from him.

I agree mostly with Old Road Trooler...

First weeks on the road, pulled something like that. The Sgt (trainer) pulled out his sap and hit my right leg as hard as he could. Message - "The most important thing is to get there".

I thought seat belts saved lives!! What happed here???
I've personally known more people killed from broken necks due to seat belts than saved by them.

Then your friend drive to fast. Your odds increase 10 fold by wearing them. Personally I think it should only be law for kids under 18 because I don't mind idiots killing themselves. More food for me.

I don't mind LEO's driving fast (within reason) when they are using their lights and sirens and responding to emergency calls, but I hate when LEO's drive excessively fast just for the fun of it without lights/siren on. Lead by example!!!
