Place Gone to Hell

This little town has gone to hell. Not all by itself it had a little help. Crooked politicians and former police chiefs as well. It is too far gone it is too late to help. Get our kids out now or a price we will pay for you see the dealers will have their way. We owe it to our kids to help them life the best life in every way, But we are failing them if we stay, so with that said it is time we move away. I will miss the old days but not the way things are today.

There are plenty of us that want a change but we cant do it alone and no one else wants to help. It is sad that our former teacher, principal and now mayor has not done one thing to better this community I for one am VERYYYYYYY disappointed ! He is not alone there is an entire board of them VOTE them out take our town back and lets make our kids proud !!!

Until our judicial system decides to punish the violators by building the prisons to house them and actually confining them there will be little change. If our police force arrests 10 people on drug charges (as well as many other offenses) 9 of them will not serve any prison time. Probation or a suspended sentence amounts to nothing to these people. They go back to the same old things. Michael George would be a good example. He has been in trouble time and time again. Several of the offenses should have resulted in prison time but has he gone? NO. There has been more than a few charges of embezzlement. Have any of the people spent time in prison? NO. You can sell drugs to minors and undercover agents, you can be guilty of statutory rape, you can be caught with a meth lab, and you will most likely get probation. But, get caught drinking and driving and your life will be wrecked. Not to say that this is not serious but the others are too. We do need help in ridding Cardwell of the drug producers and sellers who have moved into our little town. Let's all back the police force and ask for their help.

no we do not need to build new prisons to give these thugs a place to live we need to bring back the old laws ,like if you stole a horse today you get caught we hang you tomorrow,if we were living with the old laws crime and violence would be at a record low!!!!!

I went to school for 12 years in cardwell. The town is a toilet. If you love your kids, move to Paragould or at least Kennett.

Your talk is fine but I dont see where you have done anything. It is easy to sit in front of your computer and complain and blame it on everyone else. I agree the town does need to be cleaned up. The chief of police is supposed to be writing tickets for that kind of thing but I never hear of anyone getting a ticket. One place in particular is the Southard house on poole street but I really doubt that Anthony is going to write a ticket to one of his buddies. Come up with solutions instead of passing the blame onto someone else.

get him out of there and get someone in office that will try to help clean up your town instead of just talking on topix, you have three cops there and still have one of the most corrupt little towns in missouri,oh and you also have deputy sherrifs living there, what the hell, you can damn near get by with murder there, they dont care they are too bust sitting on their asses or chashing skirts to worry about a trashy place being cleaned up !!!!!!!!

Hey, instead of everyone sitting on this site and gripping about the town and the people in office, stand up, stand together, and change things. Sure it won't be easy and will take time to turn everything around. But its worth it to save the town where you're living in and raising your children. And if there are people in office or on the board. Next time there is a election, either run against them or champaion against them. When they say all they have done for the town, stand up and tell the truth. Sounds like there are enough of you to really make a difference. But first you have to unite to make the changes...Be strong, stand tall, and make that difference....

First your talking out of the side of your face!!! Some of us have tried and a few cant do it alone did you not read my entire post or did you just pick what you wanted to pop off about. that place will never change they dont want it. The minute you try to change something they are in a tizzy at the meeting's trying to figure out how to stop you or try to discredit you. There are a lot of secrets they want to keep quiet, and you fools let it happen, and you gonna let the biggest pill head's husband on the board, you all deserve what you get it is a shame too because your kids will be the ones to pay the price, glad mine are grown. Hell why dont you just elect Mr. Pannels wife !!! He can't even clean up his own place or life but he wants to help the town ? WHAT A JOKE !!! They buy cigarettes for their 13 year old son and god only knows what else, and that is the kind of people you want running the town? And if the answer is NO then somebody better run against him !!!!

This entire country is a toilet. And it gets worse everyday. Leaving town won't help.

I do agree with u and the churches of cardwell are trying to help, not just to fill our seats but to help clean our streets for a better place to live in or us and our children. We do need to help our police and stand behind them instead of slandering them on here. the way we can clean up is to get involved with the activities that are coming up this year when the weather gets better. The churches and the police are working together to bring our town lots of fun and activities this year, and it is not to fill our seats but just to spread the love of Jesus and that is why we do what we do and if the people wants to come and fill our seats than that is there choice. So when yall hear about the activities come out and help and show your support in helping us make a better town to live in. God Bless

This sounds downright scary to me.

Ok here goes
my brother took me through
Cardwell Mo on July 3,2010
we were both born there in the 40s
Our mother and grandparents lived there
their whole family grew up there .
Robert Ernest Darden and Josephine O'sullivan
and family He played the fiddle at the square dances
and gatherings.
Yes it is falling apart they are tearing down all the old buildings down main street .I wanted to go to the library but it was late and the weekend
the next time I came All the older people are gone that cared about how and if the town survives it is hard to make a living in this time and age
for every one I've been told I still have family living there cousins and relations of the family.
I hope they are rebuilding new after the old is gone . Kitty J Baugus Dockins
