He's probably a very nice and kind man as well. But the church is needs more than that. In order to regain moral standing in American, we need men of superior character, who are capable of being authoritarians within the church organization to be able to gain and retain superior ONLY men of God, not phonies.

Would this man fight if the fight is at his door, which it is? Or is his manner of leadership based solely on forgiveness and trying to rehabilitate those whose WILLFUL transgressions serve only to undermine the church?

I dont know. I no longer live in PA, and haven't seen him in at least 15 if not more years. But God will use who he wishes. More than one leadership style can produce good results. We'll have to wait and see.
