"the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out...." Reminds me of that old "Outer Limits" show about the guy with the earwig which "crawled into his brain"!

That poor guy !!!
I think the doctors need to go back to school if he don't know what the
difference between shingles, and bugs growing in the head.
I can understand that one doctor thought it was gnat bite but shingles???

I actually saw something on this a few weeks ago on Animal Planet. It was something like the Top 10 Body Snatchers. The show talked about creatures that hijack other creatures for their benefit. In this case the fly uses the mosquito to plant it's eggs since the fly itself is too big to go unnoticed when trying to lay its eggs. They showed a woman with one of these things - also on her head. Needless to say if I go to South America, I'll be wearing a shower cap the whole time.

Mark 9:43-48 And if your hand offend you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where the worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. And if your foot offends you, cut it off: it is better for you to enter lame into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where the worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. And if your eye offend you, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where the worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

You are using this scripture completely out context and if you are using it as punch line that is not good either..

I have heard so many of these horror stories now. The Bott fly really seems to be a consideration if you have been to South America.
