Did similar things with my children-they had 4 acres of wooded land to explore and learn in. Very good idea for these classes. Raises their interest in many areas. Learn about nature in many ways. All should be exposed to nature in this way.

Forty years ago, moved our two kids (5 and 6) out of the city to 35 acres of joy and wonderment. They roamed at will, were stung by yellow jackets, experimenting with plugging holes in the ground with twigs. That huge old dog traveled everywhere with them for protection. They fed the animals, took the day off from school when the lambs were born. Were taught life in the real world, when a favorite pet passed on. All seasons, never in the house. Never an ounce of fat on THEM; till this day. Yes, you also can make it happen if you really care. Fantastic lifestyle!
