[Wondering]

Just to be clear pampering is not at all what I am looking for. A simple Hi how are you - Thank you, come again - have a nice day a simple smile anythnig! And for the record I work in the public, and even when Im having a bad day I still do my best to at least be plesant. Some of the folks that work there act like you are putting them out,just by needing to check out. Maybe they need to find another line of work if the job they have is just so much of a pain and hardship on them.

Not all the girls that woork up there are rude. 2 of them are extra friendly whenever customers come in. They always smile and ask how I've been and ask about my children. So when you discuss the grocery store employees, please say ALL employees are rude because that is misleading to people who read this topic and do know know the people.

Sorry, I can't say that I have ever met the girls you are talking about. So will just say all my pervious statement only pretain to the few I have had to deal with.

I have only met one girl that works there that is friendly. All the others act like it is a problem just to do thier job. Even the manager isn't friendly.

God Bless Our Soldiers in Iraq!!! The roach famliy may be very dear to you & sweet as pie. Their store however... not so much.

People sit and talk about people that they don't know. And as service with a smile that's hard to do when you deal with rude people everyday of the week. I work at wal-mart and it's not the easiest job. Maybe you should try it before knocking people who do it. And as for talking about the meat you can buy package meat all day long at Walmart but you can't get it cut fresh. And as for out of date on the shelf you try running a store and see if you can do any better. Give it a break we all have bad days some more than others. And talking about getting s hi or have a nice day try saying it first. I shop for all my needs in that store and will continue to do so.

I buy most all of my groceries there and have never had a problem with them. The store is always clean. Some of the people are friendlier than others but have never had anyone be rude.

i worked at roach's for a year and a half. let me tell ya, it may seem like bill roach is a big religious guy..but he treats his employess (non-relatives) horribly. he has insulted my intelligence many times and questioned every little thing i did in that store. terry is cool, holly is okay. but bill is a 1st class jerk. u dont have to believe me. just dont let him fool you with friendly conversation. but anyway, i loved being able to work in cway and serving everyone in this community.

Well known, you sound full of it. I walked in the front door at Roachs and the girl that works there was standing there with the door helt open smoking. She blew smoke in my face and in my kids face also.

I worked at Roach's and I will tell you if you aren't related to them you get treated like crap. Terry has the worst attitude. So does his daughter. Someone should say something about them smoking at the door. I hate walking in there and it smelling like smoke.

You are right it's bad to go in a store where that smoke at the front door but what are you suppose to do when you smoke and no one will let you take a break. And as for Bill Roach he does treat you like you are stupid I have a good friend that works there and she is very unhappy. As for Holly she is a pretty good person but look at who she works for it's not easy working for family I do it and they excpet more from you.

I've shopped at the Roach's store here in Lepanto my entire life. To date, I can only recall a few incidents where I was not satisfied.As far as the meat and milk spoilage, I have had that happen before and it isn't necessarily the stores fault, would you like for them to open and smell your milk and meat when you purchase it???? I worked at Buck's in marked tree for years and I know that things like that do occur. When your venders bring in the products, they may have been in a warmer part of their truck, people may have shuffed and moved products around where they were not at the right temp. Heck people are to lazy to put things back where they found them if they change their mind about buying the item. We used to find packaged meat one or two isles over tossed behind cereal boxes and canned goods only to be found a few days later by the stench. They have always honored and replaced anything that was bad for me. They have even honored special deals a day or two later because I forgot that bag of sugar with a $25 purchase, even when I went in and the signs for the next week were up 7:45pm and I bought things I thought were on sale, but weren't until the next day, they have refunded the difference without any question.

As far as Mr. Bill, he is similar to Mr. Buck. He and his family has worked hard to build that store and it's reputation, and he has high standards and expectations.If you want to run a business, you have to seperate your personal and business lives. Also, I've noticed that the kids of today are very lazy and lack a good solid work ethic. If it were my business, I would run a tight ship too. I have heard that he can come off as being harsh, but one time I noticed that he caught someone out smoking when they shouldn't have (it wasn't their break time) he simply asked if it was their break and they said no, then he asked him to step over to the side out of customers earshot.

Well, I've gone on longer than I intended. I will say that the rearranging and reset in the Lepanto store looks great. It makes so much more sense now!!!!

Oh yeah, my dealings with the Roach's all of them and their employees here have been very positive. They realy have helped and assisted more people than you can ever imagine. They are very giving and caring and Judy is an absolute sweetheart!!!!!

Sorry but the Caraway store is not at all like you just described Lepanto store to be.
