Lee Walters: Why wouldn't Capitola want a dialysis center
I am one of the 26 million Americans with kidney disease who need to undergo dialysis three times a week to stay alive.

Lee, I'm sorry that you have this condition to struggle against. Hope the third one is the charm.
As far as why Capitola denied the proposal, I think I can answer that question. First, there is a dialysis center on Soquel Ave across from Jeffery's restaurant. Having another center so close might be a bit of over-coverage. But most importantly, Capitola wants money! So they can spend it. A dialysis center would generate bupkis for the city.
Now if Nordstrom's wanted in, well that would be a much different story.
