Lived in the area 25 years ago, and the one constant since then and ever since, it seems, is that PG County and Southeast are still, and probably always will be, in the toilet. What a shame.

Normally I refuse to take time out of my day to respond to such blatant racism, idiocracy and ignorance (although its amazing how so much of each could be wrapped up in one adult human), however contrary to what many believe, all of PG County is not crime-ridden. There are many area's that are really nice, quiet, and peaceful. And believe it or not 'MARK JM', there are quite a few of well-established white people that reside in the county (and not just your race's version of 'thuggin primates', which equates to trailer trash'. Now if you were talking about Southeast or Northeast DC, I probably wouldn't have taken the time to respond to your ignorance because those areas for the most part, are crime-ridden (however still gives no one the right to make racial remarks). However PG County is hardly a jungle compared to other areas in the DMV. Crack...Hookers...all of that ridiculous jibberish you speak about is not a part of everyday life in PG County, and as a resident of 24 years, I think I can attest to that. You all really amuse me how you stand by everyday and can't wait to read about something negative occuring in PG County and use that as an excuse post your racially charged remarks.

As a former Taxi dispatcher in PG county, I personally have seen PG County go from a hard working middle class community, into a ghetto, or as 1 poster has said numerous times, an extension of the National Zoo's Primate House.

There are too many Illegals in Riverdale/Langly Park, too many wanna be gangstas in Oxon Hill. And if you really wanna see primates in their natural enviorment, go to Danny Snyders Wild World, on Central Ave.. where for a weeks salary, you can interact with the primates in their natural enviorment. The employess have a dress code there, for good reason. Its to tell the difference between those who have a job to be there, and those who steal to go there.

I'm glad I have retired & moved my family to Florida. The only jungle we worry about, is the stampede to get the early bird special at Denny's come 4pm.

I too am elderly, and every week someone comes to my door wanting to something around my house, they are pushy and arrogant. But I tell them No, then they keep on talking and I just slam the door on them. Then they had the nerve to bang on the door and said hey old man I going to do this job I don't care if you like it or not and you are going to pay me. Little did he know I was a Navy Seal and I went outside and grabbed him and told him he had 2 choices, one he could get off my property or two he could die. Needless to say he left like he was on fire! I got the tag number of the truck and call the police and told them what happened, haven't seen them in my neighborhood ever again, and that was 5 years ago. All I can say is to especially the elderly, anyone who comes to your door they are major con artist. A reputable company you contact by phone or ask a neighbor if they know anyone or call your county office of Public Works and they will give you people who will do a good job. Same goes for anyone else who comes to your door, doesn't matter what they are selling, don't let them in your house, don't buy anything from them.

Mark Jm is not the chronic anti black American hating racist on this web site and need to address the primo ballernia NIKO TIKO DICKO before addressing MArk JM any day. Of course not condoning what was written but address those who are true chronic posters hating American black people! You are correct PG is a large county with differing races and differing peoples and differing neighborhoods for sure.

Has any heard from the NAACP on these Black-on-Black crimes or are they still focusing on the Cop Killer who committed suicide in jail?
