Our law enforcement, in many cases-not all, have put themselves above the law. This case and the one in Deming are horrible examples of this. I can't feel proud of my country when actions by 'our' law enforcement are going on. They represent the worst of the 'war on drugs',

“What is truly frightening about this incident is that it could have happened to anyone,” said ACLU-NM Legal Director Laura Schauer Ives. “The failed drug war and militarized border region have created an environment in which law enforcement officials increasingly inflict extreme and illegal searches on innocent Americans.”

The physicians in Deming have allowed me to feel some pride, some sense of honor for my own homeland. I know it's not right to spread my pride over so large an area as the whole US and/or my state or region, but I haven't grown up enough to include the entire world, just yet.

"...David Eckert says he was exiting a Wal-Mart parking lot when he was stopped by Deming police for the alleged violation. They then determined that he was clenching his buttocks, and used that as a basis for probable cause that he was hiding drugs. While detaining Eckert, police obtained a warrant from a judge for an anal cavity search. Eckert says in a lawsuit that he was first taken to the hospital in Deming, but doctors said the search would be unethical and refused to perform it. Police then took Eckert to Gila Regional Medical Center, where they proceeded to perform a number of procedures without Eckert’s consent...."

These are signs of the beginning of American fascism. Corporate dominance, wars on drugs which are actually a war on American citizens, militarization, not only of the borders, but also the content of the Patriot Act.

And then there's the whole Duck Dynasty racist and homophobic remarks when Phil Robertson expected his boss (the public, which includes A&E TV, gays and blacks) not to be able to fire him. Don't people believe that if you say that your boss is going to hell or denying the boss's history in any public forum that your boss has the right to fire you?

As it turns out, the Obama critics were without substance. They were venting their hate for Black People and Liberals instead of addressing the policies and competency of the candidate, Barack Obama. Don't get me wrong President Obama is not flawless, he is after all, a human being who was nominated by a majority of eligible voters for president and was elected President twice by American votes. You are a sore loser, alamo senior. Maybe your candidate will have a chance in '2016, but I doubt it, the way the Republican Party is going so far. I wish your party would address the needs of the majority and dump the tea party.

We were venting our hate for our lying president. It has nothing to do with him being African American. Allan West for President!!

WTF you got to say about that smokey Ken?

So Obama having the lowest favorable numbers since Nixon, must also be because all the people polled are racist. QUIT playing the race card. Poor performance is poor performance. Period. I disliked him as a candidate based not on his color. I did and do dislike his socialist beliefs. But we are hijacking this thread from wrongful acts of police to a discussion of the character of the President.

Funny that so called Tolerant people (Democrats) have forgotten what they have preached in the past on Topix of fairness, free speech, and love for all of god creatures, but we see they means as long as this free speech does not offend my liberal agenda.

A&E will lose on this issue, Charlie Sheen as the poster boy of morals from the left is like all those Democrats running from Obamacare.

IMO, Liberals will not stop until they have every White Cross removed from Arlington.

You should not assume that "this" follows "that" when "it" has no logical connection.

You have no real idea of what liberals are about so you make up stuff to suit your prejudices. It turns out to be gibberish. FYI, we haven't even thought of beginning to make plans to do anything to Arlington. We are doing our best to keep our boys out of graveyards. We are about peace and love, remember?
