Don't forget the $25 billion for the failed war on drugs and the $682 billion spent annually for the military.
12 digit numbers translate to a 100 billion
I think the US is involved in over 10 wars at this time.
Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Mali, Somalia and the Horn of Africa, Pakistan,.
The U.S. funds and trains Ugandan, Burundian, Ethiopian, Kenyan, and other African forces who are actively fighting in Somalia to aid the weak central government against the al-Qaida affiliated al-Shabaab rebels. The U.S., over the past few years, frequently launches drone attacks, Special Forces raids, and naval attacks on al-Qaida targets in Somalia.

Question: Why are we bankrupt?

Answer: Because we have banks.

It started with the Bush administration lying us into an unjustified war, then not only not paying for 'his' war, but actually giving the surplus we'd accumulated under Clinton to the top 1% of the top 1% richest of the world (that includes Chinese, Iranian,'foreigners' invested in Halliburton, GE, etc.).

Then Bush provided the first TARP.

So Gorky, Do we lay down all arms in America, Stop all defense spending, Stop all weapons manufacturing, and destroy all the nukes, disban the military, and fire the border patrol and all sit down and sing kumbaya and share a joint, While those who hate America have free reign here?

What would Gorky do?

That is true. And the American voters keep them in office.

That would do for me, however, I would be satisfied if we supported defensive measures pertaining to the US mainland and stopped the war mongering.

Defensive measures please explain.

Because your type refuse to build a fence, or use hard data to prosecute illegals or any other groups who cross the southern border cause there is no security.

After Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) admitted the amendment he and Sen. John Hoeven (R-ND) offered to the immigration bill will not improve immigration law enforcement, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) National Council president Chris Crane told Breitbart News he is shocked lawmakers would still want to pass the bill.

"So that’s the answer from U.S. Senators,” Crane, an ICE agent and a former marine, told Breitbart News exclusively on Sunday morning.“They know the bill is bad but plan to pass it anyway? With billions of taxpayer dollars to be spent and the safety of the public on the line, Senators plan to pass the buck to the House with hopes they might fix it? Anti-enforcement special interests have succeeded in pressuring the Senate from doing what’s best for America. This is why America has lost faith in its lawmakers."

Corker admitted in a Saturday Politico piece that his and Hoeven’s amendment, which is being sold as the fix to repackage the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill, does not actually fix interior enforcement issues as originally advertised.
“I do wish this amendment had some other measures relative to interior security, but I think the House can improve this,” Corker said, directly contradicting statements he and others have made about the amendment.“I think a conference can improve this. So I hope we have the opportunity down the road to see that occur.”

We're bankrupt because redundantly typing "dollars" while simultaneously using the dollar symbol uses 4 billion times the electricity of simply using one or the other.

What a bunch of gibberish. Millions of us are doing fine. We didnt freak out in 08 when Markets collapsed. We stayed in and bought more and are enjoying the recent all time highs of them. We work hard, adapt to changes, not looking for handouts, pay our way, stay out of debt, and appreciate what good we see and have. "Live each day as if it your last.... one day you will be right".

My type sees the world as being similar to a neighborhood. Our chances of having good neighbors is enhanced by our being a good neighbor. If we insist on perpetually pissing off our neighbors, we will generally wind up with pissed-off neighbors.

Good neighbors help each other. Good neighbors don't need fences. The United States foreign policy is run by greedy bullies.
