Thank you to Irene for the wonderful article. One quick note, though, my Great-Great Aunt's rooming house was actually located in the area of S. Lafayette Street, a couple blocks away from Perry. By the time I came along, my family was staying in the house at 11 Perry Street, across from Congress Hall.

To anyone who has never experienced Cape May, I would highly encourage a visit. There's a reason the Travel Challen voted it one of the Top 10 Beaches in America!

I have lived in Cape May (now Erma) my entire(49 years)life. I have read many books on Cape May, but I think this is the best one. The pictures brought back many memories. Very rarely do you ever see the Winsor fire or many of the other photos. I highly recommend this beautiful book

I was born in the summer of 1960 @ Burdette Tomlin Hosp. in C. M. Court House. Dad was in Coast Guard. Is that hospital still there? We are coming out this summer and I was wanting to take some pics of it, if it remains somewhat as the original. If it has had a complete makeover....probably not worth the time. I'm sure it been added to/modified some....50 years !!
