Yes, as always it is about money. 2 churches in Bellmawr leaving Barrington without a church is a disgrace. It is so obvious it is all about money while further neglecting the poor and middle class and elderly. Christ the king in haddonfield (which is in walking distance to St Rose of Lima in Haddon Heights) is staying open.

Bishop Galante talks about how he cares about poor and minorities and yet he is moving St. Joseph's in Woodstown and St ann's in Elmer to be with the "wonderful" rich white people of Mullica Hill, NJ. Woodstown,Pilesgrove, Elmer and other parts of Salem county are multi-ethnic. Woodstown has a strong african american, hispanic and there is even a family that is Native American. There is no reason why St. Joseph's in Woodstown or even St ann's who has a population of 400 can't remain as stand alone parishes. It doens't even makes sense. Mullica Hill is in Gloucester county who has many Catholic churches. Woodstown and Elmer are in Salem County.

The bishop even gave mullica hill permission to build yet another new church before any deaneries or core team propanganda was even talked about. For the longest time, the Camden Diocese wanted to build their new mega church and school in deptford. People in Deptford didn't want it because of traffic. It was a long debated issue. Bishop Galante then decided that he would build his mega chool and church in mullica Hill and before any deaneries, core teams ect that woodstown and elmer would bail them out financially. Because the Lord works in mysterious ways, the ground at route 77 mullica hill didn't perk. It showed signs of arsenic which it is said that most likely it is from nearby dump.

Woodstown and elmer area are developing at rapid speed. Catholics from philadelphia and other cities are moving into area. The treet development which will be many more new low income people into the area needing a Catholic Church.

At St. Joseph's in Woodstown people were mistreated and abused for not going along with bishop's plan. One man who was dying was denied communion because he attended a meeting several months earlier where parishioners met in secret to get together to appeal the church merger. There is so many things that go against the teachings of the Catholic Church and God. There are so many reasons why the merger involving st joseph's and st ann's is so wrong.

St ann's has over 400 people which is enought to support itself.

I notice in the past that many parishes from this diocese used Consultants to raise money and there were many that bragged that over the years that there were many financial increases Lynn Cummings Development Consultants. How much money did the diocese blow for this. I'm sure this agency was highly recommended by the diocese.

We all know that our parishes were all vibrant and financially stable with plenty of priests too until bishop galante came on the scene and spent most of his 6 years to close us down and to destroy Catholicism in our area.

Going back to Woodstown. When we were all greiving over the death of Pope John Paul II (April 2005) and the death of Father Stephen Cervoni who died a couple of months after his forced retirement.(March 2005) and the unnessary transfer of Father Hewit who tended to the poor and the Legion of Mary.

Father Edward Friel was selling Catholic real estate that belonged to the parish of st joseph's in Woodstown as soon as he got into town. And ole Father Thomas Morgan signed as vice president. Sounds real fishy. Then again, during those times, many from the diocese including Galante had dealings ($400,000 shore home) with Rafael Follieri who was a scapegoate con-man who went to jail for fraud involving the buying and selling of catholic real estate.

"father" friel did his job and was transferred back to Camden County as pastor.

Ask them about the victim of sexual abuse who came to her pastor for compassion. Instead, she was further victimized and ostracized and was excommunicated from her parish. Also, Catholic priests should not use the f word towards female parishioners. It is sad enough that bishop galante when he was in dallas protected 2 pedophiles and allowed them to remain in their parishes. How quick he is to reward the sinners while punishing the good and holy.

There is nothing holy or Catholic about any of these communities.

All this is for self exaltation of bishop Galante when he dies he thinks he is leaving behind his legacy. In reality he will beforever known as the crazy liberal hypocrite anti-Catholic who destroyed the Catholic faith in Camden diocese. Of course we will continue to pray that he will see the error of his ways before it is too late.

How sinful and evil to close down the most parishes during the Month of Mary. If we had a real bishop , he would have mandated that all parishes would hold Rosary rallies in honor of our blessed MOther.

A real bishop would have given obedience to God and the Vatican by celebrating the Year of the Priest instead of Year of persecution of priests like Father Romanowski, Father Gannon, Father Murruci, Father Jack Conners, etc.
(Father Gaffney, Father Byrnes, Father Cervoni, etc)

How many cases of sexually abuse in Camden Diocese. Everyone in diocese is all cutting back and saving. When is the diocese going to live like us instead of hollywood movie stars?

It is pretty sad to hear that many of our traditional habit wearing Catholic nuns are even being abused. How sad is it to hear that nuns from our diocese are so poor that they have to dig for mushrooms to survive while the rich liberal good ole boys are going to dine at the mansion in voorhees to discuss how they can maintain their posh lifestyles and have deacons and lay people do most of their work so they have time for sin and worldly pleasures.
