Why don't you call up those Doomsday Preppers TV show people? If you're gonna be a looney apocalypse nut you might as well get a little fame out of it, you know?

Stick with freeze dried items, much longer shelf life, compared with most other things.

Also, saw where in Kentucky they starting to do away with telephone land lines (check the news wpsd, I think). Anyway, once again we're moving closer to the point where our ability to communicate may be interrupted. We need to all invest in unregistered HAM 2-way radios

Check out FEMAs websites or the CDC on preparedness. Everyone should be prepared for a natural disaster but some people take it a bit further. I'd rather be prepared than not.

im sure there will eventually b a natural disaster around here since we have a major fault nearby. many however base this off of certain other beliefs, some on perhaps the whole mayan calendar. heres a text i got recently that may shed some light on that.
"there have been about 514 leap years since ceasar created it in 514bc. without the extra day every 4 years today would b march of 2013. the mayan calendar did not take this into consideration, so the world should have ended about 8mo ago. maybe this is the afterlife?

I believe in being ready for a natural disaster, large scale terrorist attack or a war that could completely turn this country upside down. In which case it is a good idea to have food, medical supplies and weapons, however, when God decides its to e for the end of the world none of those things can help. The way to prepare for that is totally different.....

The book of Revalations, eh? I read it once. I liked the part where Jesus had seven horns and seven eyes and was setting on a throne in a sea of glass surrounded by monstrous beast-like angels and declares himself to be the devil.

I think I'm like a lot of people. I live on SS and it is all I can do to feed myself for the month. I can't afford to stockpile items for what MIGHT happen down the road.
