My family and I need to go on a little trip. We live in Cape. Probably 2 hrs away at the most. Something cheap and fun. There will be approximately 4 or 5 adults and a baby. Any suggestions? Would like to go probably in May or June, just for the day. Help me think.

Spend a hot weekend in a hot tub at montauk. Four adults, bottles of wine. And a lot of privacy......... Can I go?

How about the zoo. If the grown ups don't like the zoo, too bad. Babies like animals. Really, just google fun stuff to do in st louis.

Is the Science Center still open up in St. Louis? That and the Zoo, the Arch, the Riverfront, etc. would make for decent weekend.

Nashville has a giant flea market on the fourth Saturday of every month year round. That is about 3 hours away though. Then about 70 miles south of Nashville is the Jack Daniels Distillery which has a very nice free tour of the facility.

Tell me more about this flea market please... When I lived in South Carolina, there was a 6 block long open market that sold the most awesome things, just about anything you could think of except heavy appliances... I loved it, but they have nothing like that here...

It is on the State Fairgrounds in Nashville. The biggest months are May,Sept, and October when they have 3,000-5,000 vendors. The have jewelry (nice stuff) tools, antiques of all kinds, lawn decoraions/plants/furniture, rugs, clothes, shoes, purses, and, of course, junk. Some of the buildings have heat/AC there are also refreshement vendors. If the weather is nice, it is really fun just to stroll through alll the stuff. It would easily take a full day to go through the whole thing, It doesn't cost anything to get in but you have to pay for parking.

Go to Jackson, visit the Wal-Mart, come home and watch The Price Is Right that should have already been recorded.

Head over to the Carbondale area and spend the day at Giant City. Do some light hiking, maybe a picnic at a shelter with a playground. Stop by the stables and let the baby check out the horses. If he/she is big enough, do a led pony ride. Finish up with a homestyle fried chicken dinner at the GC Lodge.
Also - a neat play area, Castle Park is on Giant City Road, just out of Carbondale. Kids love it and it's a relaxing place for adults to visit.

There are many events during Memphis in May that would be suitable for a baby.
