I went to the site and he lost me when he said there was no exodus from Egypt. I believe the Word of God is inspired and that an exodus in fact did occur although I could contend that it did not happen under Ramses.

who cares what color he is??? as long as we all agree that he died on the cross for our sins, isn't that what is the most important fact??? black or white, he is our savior. let's focus on that, especially this holiday/ Christmas season.

I was just informed of this "thread" today and I would like to correct a few things, if I could:
1st: It is not "Ron's" house, it is God's house and Ron is our Pastor. We have been very fortunate to have him for over 20 years. God gave Ron a vision to start a church and people follow vision, God has changed and softened so many hearts in our church and the church still continues to grow. Not because of Ron but God. Anyone who knows Ron and his family know that the live in a normal home and in my humble opinion, he is worth every penny he earns, and more.

2nd: We don't have a Negro church, we bought a building that was no longer in use so that we could open a safe place for those who might not have a safe place to come to. Our missions and Helping Hands teams have been instrumental in trying to meet the needs of the community and will continue to do so, God willing.

3rd: LaCroix's Christmas program does NOT make money. We believe that God deserves our best, that includes the best equipment and best in everything. Doesn't God deserve the new piano, organ, projector, computer, lights, before you? Yes we use things from our culture, but we also know that is how people relate and learn, you use things from the culture, and Jesus did that too.
Just because it's a church doesn't mean it should be mediocre, God deserves our best. So you might pay a few dollars to see one of the finest performances in the city for a holiday performance, it's not a church service and we don't charge for that.
God has put many gifted and talented people at LaCroix and they share the vision that God deserves the BEST! We believe everything is His anyway and He should come first.
Wouldn't you be disappointed if you paid money to go to a concert or Disney on Ice and the lighting was bad or the sound was off, etc. We feel that if you come to our church God would want you to have the most uplifing and inspiring experience ever! Whatever it is, be it Christmas at LaCroix, or Christmas Eve service or the weekend service, we always will strive to give it our best, that is what God would want us to do.
I'm sorry if somehow you got a bad perception of LaCroix, I've been there for 20 years, I was in the theatre and am therenow. We are not perfect, we are sinners saved by the Grace of God.
I am also signing my name, if I can help answer any questions, please feel free to respond, but please let's stop the LaCroix bashing, we cannot get caught up in this stuff, I just wanted to clear a few things up.
To God be the Glory, GREAT things he hath done!

Hi there KM,

Thanks for taking the time to at least look carefully at what Dr Hagin said.

Nonetheless, you could contend surely. I could contend that the Moon is made out of Provolone cheese.:-)

Do you have any proof other than your European Bible which is millennium younger than the Christian Bible that was used in Egypt thousands of years ago when the Madonna was called "Isis" and Jesus had the original name of "Horus?"

Before you can understand anything; you must know that world history did not start with Europeans invading America killing nearly a million Indians and Mexicans.

Egypt and Africa were at an astonishingly high level of civilization, Timbuctu, thousands of years ago when Europeans,Neanderthals, where living in caves and eating each other for lunch.:-)

So there were many religions around long before anyone knew about Christianity European style.

Show me your sources that prove there was this evacuation without using the European bible please.

great job dee dee!!!! i agree with everything you said! i absolutely love lacroix and can't even imagine how anyone could say anything negative about the church or pastor ron. it is really sad and unfortunate, but it is evident that he is doing something great, because of the church's prosperity, growth of the building and constant growth of the congregation. every event or church service i attend there is fantastic and i am sure God is so pleased with his house at lacroix!!!

All I will add is to not attend this church if you are openly gay. At first - they will be "accepting" for you to come in. And they'll hang out with you. And you'll be invited to things... but all of this will be to "save" you... so if you're wanting to be "saved" then by all means - go. If you want people to accept you for who you are - seek another place.

Are any of us without sin? Only Jesus was. I believe that none of us will enter Heaven without sin, but will enter by being forgiven, and that comes with making the choice to believe that Jesus died for our sins and accepting Him as our savior!

OK, I don't have any definitive proof here, but in my OPINION, people who lives lives of crime, and murderous violence are not going to be going to heaven. If that were the case ALL of us would be there just because we asked for forgiveness before we died. That sounds illogical to me.:-0

Here are some other thoughts about this confessing and going to Heaven issue:

God knows the intent of every man's heart. Believing in Jesus is only the beginning of our journey. Each trial we go through is the testing of our faith and perserverance. I don't think that asking for forgiveness is the ticket to keep on sinning, but we strive to become more like Jesus. Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. God never stops pursuing us. And as hard as it is to believe, I think that even the hardest of criminals can go to heaven if he is truly seeking God's forgiveness and asks Jesus to be his saviour. God wants everyone to enter His kingdom! The choice is ours to make.

At least you approach the issue with chapter and verse and I agree this is a difficult concept to fathom but thank goodness WE are not the judge on such things - God is. My only other response is to remind about the man on the cross beside Jesus who was told, today you shall be with me in Heaven. He did not do as is pointed out in Hosea as to repent and live a faithful life but ask for forgiveness just before death.

Cape has a ton of churches, so it can be tough to figure out where to start. But really, that's all it takes - just walking listening to a sermon, getting some info on the church, and deciding if it's for you. Sometimes it takes a moment to figure out if a particular church is a fit and that's ok.

I've found La Croix to be a church that does a great job teaching - key word is teaching - the congregation, so they can then take what they've learned and apply it in real-world settings, whether those settings are "religious" or "secular".

La Croix is a great place to check out. Maybe it's the right fit for you, maybe it's not...either is ok. However, since La Croix is a large church and gets involved in the community regularly it sure can't hurt to check it out so you can develop your own personal and informed opinion.

I don't think so. Not that I know of, and I've attended La Croix for about 15 years. I think (like many other churches around), you can sign up to tithe through automatic withdrawal. Come on, it's the 20th century. Do you think people started freaking out when folks started using checks instead of "real" money?

I was raised in church, very hardcore, but I strayed from our loving Saviour. I used drugs, alcohol, sex, and anything else you can imagine to fill the void where Jesus once inhabited, thank God He now lives there again, filling my heart with joy, compassion and peace unlike anything I've ever known. A few years ago all of the drinking and drugs caught up with me and landed me in jail and then prison. I was celebrating my 31 birthday in 2010 which of course included all the wrong things, I hit a bridge head on at 60 MPH in a Ford escort, basically I broke everything between my knees and neck, including my seat belt cutting my carotid artery in half, that's a minimum list of my medical state. After healing enough to serve my sentence, I was sent to Cape County Jail where I met Ms. Karen Bangert. The jail ministry saved my life! I started attending La Croix upon my release and I can honestly say that I've never felt better and I've never known such joy that Jesus has given me! PRAISE REPORT ..... I HAVE BEEN HEALED! Thanks to everyone at La Croix for showing me the love of Jesus and helping me believe that I am deserving of His grace and mercy! Special thanks to Ms Karen for helping me get my LIFE back, I love all of you!
