We've been going somewhat regularly for about the last six months after having attended another Methodist church for many years. We enjoy the messages at LaCroix which are almost always very contemporary. Although I do miss some of the "traditional" aspects of worship (such as the Lord's Prayer and some traditional hymns), the services overall are enjoyable, satisfying and thought-provoking.

I have been going to La Croix for the past 10 years. They have amazing programs for children and youth. They offer many classes/small groups for adults as well. There are also many opportunities to serve outside the church walls, in the US and outside the US. A great variety. They are contemporary. The music is wonderful and really invites the Holy Spirit in. I also feel that La Croix welcomes people in all stages of their walk...questioning, brand new, unsure, all the way to extremely devoted and seeking more.
They have a saturday night service at 5:30 and then 2 on sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00.
i hope you enjoy it and feel the Lord's presence upon your heart.

What our family likes about LaCroix, among many other things, is it REAL. Real meaning that each week, the sermon is applicable to my life and I can use throughout my week (and life). Also, the church is non-judgmental, I've never heard a comment or criticism regarding any other Christian religion or a person's lifestyle. Therefore, ANYONE who attends or visits can be assured that will not feel uncomfortable. Music is incredible and inspirational. Truly cannot think of a single thing that we don't like.
Hope you or anyone who reads this comments will give it a try - truly life changing!

We've been attending LaCroix for the past 5 years and have really enjoyed it. The church as a whole, really strives to make it a wonderful, and uplifting expereience every single week.

how do u get a man that has been criticized his whole life about religion to go back to church? as a young boy, my husband was raised by his great grandmother. he attended church every wknd with her.(he was raised baptist)the one wknd that he missed when he was about 16 or 17 he was judged by the little ladies in that church and has never really accepted a new church. i have friends and relatives that attend lacroix and just absolutely love it. i have actually attended services with them and really enjoyed myself.(i was raised catholic) i have asked my husband numerous times to go with me to a church that he thinks he would like so we all can go as a family. he feels churches r all stereotype and doesnt want to bother. i have asked him to go with me to lacroix because i know this one is different. any advice to this one? lol i have a stubborn husband sometimes :)

perhaps if you ask your husband to come to an event that LaCroix has going on. Christmas at La Croix is coming up in Dec (3-6). That is a great opportunity to bring him into the church and get used to the atmosphere. Then maybe he would warm up to the idea of attending on the weekend.
it's definitely hard when you have experienced a pain like rejection from a church (somewhere that should be welcoming and inviting to anyone) but it's made up of imperfect people who mess up more than we'd like to.
Or maybe serving outside the church walls with people who attend La Croix (or really any church) and build relationships prior to going on the weekend.
Tickets for Christmas at La Croix are available throughout the week in the lobby.:)

that is a very good idea guest. thank u. i may take u up on that offer! i dont want any pity party or anything but he had a rough life growing up so he has very little faith. mother never was around (which she is now) and his father was in and out of prison his whole life.(which he is too now) so i think he feels he is being punished. since we have been together i am slowly changing his faith becuz he things God sent me and my son to him. so he looks up on that but maybe if he just goes once he may change his mind! please pray for him that God will reach out to us and put faith back into my husband. thank u!:)

Amen, Jesus cleared out the Temple of all " Business. " (OF COURSE) in the name of Jesus. The big business Jesus had going was making and sending disciples OUT to share the Gospel.Of course Jesus was all about charity. He gave his life freely. Just imagine if the Church went outside. Amen

ok well lacroix is fantastic and has numerous outreach mission groups. the tickets will one help pay for the refreshments i'm sure, try feeding 900 people 3 nights in a row, and also they are raising money for the starving kids in africa. they raise money for charities, help with habitat for humanity and have even assisted with a couple of my friends utility bills. they are a wonderful church and i especially invite those of you talking down on us, wow. how christian like of you. yes, you need prayers. and i have been to other churches that have sold tickets for concerts and plays, so i don't know where you have been.

They need to sell tickets to church so the church can pay for Ron's mansion and the several million dollar expansion(s). They need all the money they can get!

Don't forget the new house they built for The Reverend Thomas and all those starving children in Africa. What about all the hungry folks in Cape Girardeau? I guess The Reverend Thomas will be taking care of them. Never could understand churches that spend millions on buildings while people went hungry and homeless.

What about the 150,000 meals they are packing within the next two weeks to send to Haiti? What about the multiple mission trips members go on each year including Africa? What about the satilite church they have and support in south Cape?

This is a growing thriving church that responds to many needs. They can't do that in small building on a bare bones budget. There are people of all economic backgrounds going to LaCroix.

They served Thanksgiving meals free to all those who came to the satellite church in south Cape on Thanksgiving day.
