Could someone tell me who are the ER Doctors at both hospitals? Are they good? Can you find out who is on call before going?
Not a Dr's office...

If you have the opportunity to check or even care what ER doc is working, YOU DON'T NEED TO GO TO THE ER!!!!!

No, mostly, no.

Get yourself a Family Practitioner and quit abusing the emergency room system.

Dr. Jones at st. Francis is a f*cking joke. I had an allergic reaction and he insisted that my problem was that I need to stop smoking. I already knew that but that's not why I was there. I was there because my tongue and throat was swelling and I couldn't breathe. He didn't even examine me. Just sat in the corner in the corner and told me that I need to stop smoking.

Yours is an unusual post.
Is there a particular Dr. you are avoiding?
Do you have a true emergency?
Have you considered a local walk-in?

Uh, yeah and we're all mesmerized by your unsolicited and slightly applicable story of woe.

If you are a rich person or related to a prominent cspe family go to saint francis and you will be treated okay. If you are just a regular citizen I suggest going to southeast.

To all of you who replied on here about "A true emergency", you need to be quiet. I know some aren't true emergencies.. It was a true emergency. I could not go to a walk-in office with this problem they would tell me to go to the ER..It's bad when the nurse is rude and then you have to wait 3 hours in the waiting room (and that's the truth). Surely ithey cannot be that short on help.(I guess it was break time). Then on top of that the Dr.(which I will not mention)seemed clueless. All I asked on here was if you could call before, and find, out who is on call and wanting to know who the Drs. were. Sounds like some of the replies I got were from some employees who don't like their job. I suggest finding another job.. Next time I think I'll just go to St. Louis afterall, it doesn't take 3 hours to get there. It's ridiculous and something needs to be done regarding the time limit set in the waiting room and then when you get back into the room to wait again. Seems like you need to get with the program. If someone has something to say about this apparently I'm stepping on some toes,so to speak. I would love to argue about this all day, but I'm done. I know how it was. Thank you!

Ok..to the poster who complains that they wait 3 hours..you do realize its not that they are short staffed or in break its that when you are triaged you are rated on you emergency hence you being at the emergency room..anyone who walks after you and has a more serious condition or any ambulance or Med Flight that comes in automatically gets bumped ahead of you. Also Er's run lab work/x-rays etc and have to wait for the results to come back..aka Cape Radiology has to read the results and lab values have to be run. Soo if you are really upset about your sinus infection not getting seen in the Er after 3 hours can I suggest that you go into a walk in clinic or perhaps a doctors office? Or maybe call the ambulance to escort you in so you get seen over all the strokes and chest pains
