Big deal. Times are tougher on some people than others. Does it really make a difference if someone sleeps there? Petty bs.

its ridiculous that i pay for the licensed daycare workers to take care of my kids and not just a random person who is not a licensed daycare worker. and the fact that i help pay for the food there and its all gone bc of these kids and mom livin there.

Most of the daycare workers anywhere are not licensed daycare workers. You should ask. They have to have a license to operate. You help pay for the food to support this family. How? They charge you extra for their food? They don't feed your children when they are at daycare? If not, you shouldn't be on Topix complaining about it. You should be reporting them.

i help pay for the food bc part of the money that i pay goes for food, and when there is NO food then that hurts my children!

if i pay $180 a week for my kids to go to daycare and they have no food, and i have to send juice and lunch bc the family that lives there can't help themselves from the fridge. how does that not affect my kids and all the other kids that go to this daycare??? i mean i should at least get a discount or something!

Are you serious? Your griping because they are showing compassion to someone in desperate need? You seriously have moral issues. You do not the whole story, so quit taking your kid there and shut up. And no not all the workers are licensed. Some are required to get their CDA, to teach the preschoolers. I hope if you are ever in desperate need, no one helps you.

you do not pay 180/wk and have to take in juice and lunch. Whether there is someone staying there or not, any parent who has taken their child to a daycare (and actually probably just any ole anyone with common sense) knows that an operating daycare who charges an astounding $180/wk will not require you to provide your own food for your child. If they were truly out of food due to a lady and child staying there they wouldn't be in business.

You're full of it.

And I reread. You did specify 'kids' indicating more than one thus bringing my example of $180/wk for a weeks of daycare down to about meaningless BUT still, daycares do not and would not require you to bring in your own food any way you look at it. Unless this is one of those hole in the wall, in home daycare in which case if you're complaining about someone living there, you have issues ;)

Hey I got an idea. Look for a new daycare provider on Topix. That should be interesting for a minute or two.

Actually I agree with concerned parent. When you choose a daycare provider, you do some checking into their history before you leave your children with them. Adding a new person/people to the home to be around your kids when you don't know their background isn't smart. They may not be fit to be around children (criminal past/mental health issues/sex offender, etc.)

I'm not a daycare provider, but I would think their state license would require they not allow sex offenders to live at the daycare.

I think who you are talking about is an employee of the daycare, she now has her own home.
She just needed a place to stay until she could get
settled. So back off, it's over with!

You're the idiot. From the way it sounds, this is a home daycare where unrelated people have moved in.

Oh, and start moving the cows because you just lost your farm.

no this lady is not an employee. She is just someone who sends her kids there, and I will not just back off. This lady has made questionable decisions regarding her own kids and I will not trust her with mine. She works a regular job and also at the daycare bc she owes them money for her staying there. Which she should've not been allowed to do. My kids nor any one else's kids should have to be around a stranger. I wouldn't let some strange person at Walmart watch my kid and I won't let it happen there either. If anybody has a problem with that. Then something is seriously wrong with you. These days, you just can't trust anybody. My kids come 1st. Sorry this lady has shitty luck and has nowhere to go, when I know she has parents to go to and the friends. She should NOT be staying at daycare. Why if she's such a great person and I shouldn't be concerned, is she not allowed to stay with her friends and family? That raises concerns for me and it should you too.

yes you're right I used to not have to provide lunch or juice but like I said they eat everything there so in the mornings there is no food. Do you understand that?
