pasta house has REALLY gone downhill! we had a call in order, no one knew what they were doing, the manager was the only one who could check anyone out. the manager was doing nothing but taking complants, i heard they are under new managment, let me just say this new managment needs to step it up. we were there for an hour and my food was cold and also wrong when we finally got to leave. i didnt even feel like waiting anymore so i just ate what i had. i will say i wont be going back anytime soon!

It's always hit or miss there with the service, staff, and food. I've ordered food and it never comes they just forget about it.

Agreed me and another went there and we were not impressed by anything they offer our waitress just looked like she finished her bing before she made it to the table(I guess that's why she took 10 mins to serve us). And mind u no one was even eating in there. They didn't have the beer I wanted even tho the girl said ok. 5 mins later she comes back to tell me that they don't have that on draft so pick another, I did which in turn my choice was out and they had to change the keg, when she finally brought me my beer it was flat. I ordered a water and then when she brought that out in had a hair attached to the side. The salad was soggy as well as when the fetticini(?) Alfredo came the sauce was so thin and wattery, we were not greates when we first walked in the door the lady at the front was on the phone takin an order and disnt even acknowledge we were there. A younger server boy walked by us and disnt say anything to us as he just kept walking we waitied 5 mins for the lady to finish her phone call before she mad eye contact with us and tried to get us seated. When we left they took our money and didn't say thank u or anything they didnt ask us how our meal was. She just left out to the back so we left without hearing anything. I felt like we got butt raped the whole time we were there and then had to pay and got no thank yous. I won't be going back again anytime soon

I use to luv pasta house. it's been terrible for years even at the old location. so it's not just this new management if that's really true. a lot of places say they are under new management just to sound like the place is freshened up. whatever.

I have found I can get better food and service at fazolis. no joke and it's cheaper. sure the pasta house still has my favorites like their salad and a few of their old dishes but its been awhile since they've served those up the way they were meant to be served.

Paglias, not sure if the spelling is right on the name but that's the only place I eat Italian at. The rest if the places are chains and that's why they suck.

I agree, they started to go downhill before they ever moved to the new location. I remember the good days when they had served cheese bread with the meals at no charge. Now they serve rock hard rolls that taste like paper. They are so damn hard you could loose your freakin teeth! I've thought about contacting upper management through their web-site, has anyone else tried?

yea! those were the good ol days when the food was good there. it was sort of a nice dining experience back in those days and that cheese bread with the meals was good. I agree about the rolls. the last time I dined at the pasta house it was about a year ago and they were hoarding the rolls. they brought out two. and didn't really want to bring out anymore even after I made a kind request. I think eventually they brought two more when we were almost done with our entrees. I think they're reusing the rolls how else would they be so stale?

also at my last visit my dining companion tried to order some toasted ravioli as an app. they said they didn't have any! something about they had a large catering order and didn't have anymore. I thought that was strange. no toasted ravioli available? a large last minute catering job too?

My family and I went recently. Our waitress only stopped by our table four or five times. She gave us our menus, took our drink orders. She came back, gave us our drinks, asked if we were ready. Half of us were not ready. She TOLD (yes TOLD) us that once the other half were finished ordering, that we would be ready. I ordered, our friend ordered.. the other two weren't ready but she stood there and pressured them into ordering. My stepmom ordered two sides because she believed that it came with two sides. instead of informing her that, the waitress took the menus, went to the back, and picked which side my stepmom would get. when she brought out our food, my stepmom asked where the mac and cheese was. the lady explained the situation and told her that it would be a 50 cent charge. We asked for refills. She brought out the check and the mac and cheese about 20 minutes later, no refills. the mac and cheese was cold.

Needless to say, we are not going to return.

I ate at the Cape Girardeau location recently. We had a large party, and the food and service were both good. All of the employees were rushing around, and working hard, it seemed. They did a great job when I was there.

I ate at the Cape location last weekend and it was DISGUSTING! The service was ok but the food.......... ughhhh. Gross. The sauce was so watery it had no flavor at all. The noodles were swollen and overcooked. The rolls would make great hockey pucks. Nope, I won't be back. Straighten up Pasta House!

I ate there just last week and thought it was great.. The rolls have been like that for awhile and as far as I know they are like that at all pasta house's? I had the ravioli and pasta con broccoli and that it was good. They also catered our Christmas party and everything they brought tasted fantastic.... When they were in the mall I thought the food was awful and would never eat there and I know there was diff management then. Maybe if people voiced their complaints to management then things can be done about it.

Wow. You just showed everyone your unsophisticated palate. Over cooked pasta, undercooked eggplant, soggy broccoli, bland rolls.

Bleh!
