I'm pregnant and looking for an OB/GYN that accepts Medicaid. So far in Cape, I've found Rosenquist and Dr. Jessup. I've been to Jessup before and not too fond of him. Anybody have any opinions of Dr. Rosenquist and how he treated you or your family member as a patient?

Or what about the new doctor practicing with Dr. Rosenquist? Her name is dr. Cugini? Anybody been to her?

Dr. Pringle recommended Dr.Rosenquist to me and I think that's as good as you can get!

My sis in law had Dr. Rosenquist and LOVES him. I usually used Dr. Pringle and LOVED him. However, I had a miscarriage about three years ago and was in the ER and Dr. Rosenquist was on call. I was very impressed by his empathy and professionalism. I said that if Dr. Pringle wasn't available at any time that I was going to have a baby that I would definitely go to Rosenquist. I used Dr. Jessup for my last one due to Insurance issues, but I wan't too impressed either. I liked him except that he won't let you have your baby when it's ready to come, he wants you to have it when he is ready. I was in labor and he ordered the nurse to give me shots to stop my contractions and sent me home. They gave me a script for pills to hold me off for a while. He finally let me deliver when he could schedule it in the later morning hours. I hated that. I was ready for my baby to come. I was miserable. I would have understood if I was still in a questionable time frame but I was full term. Dr. Pringle would come up no matter the time and let me deliver as long as I was over 37 weeks and actually in labor. Dr. Jessup would not. (I have six kids so I have lots of experience) lol

That's odd because he recommended the new female Dr. To me. I was expecting him to say rosenquist and was shocked when he didn't. I don't know which one to choose. I've heard all good about Rosenquist. Does anyone know about the new female?

If the new female Dr. was recommended it is often times because she is new and is trying to establish her patient base.

I used Dr Rosenquist for 3 children and when I had surgeries for cervical cancer. He was very professional. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone for anything. Him and his staff are awesome.(he's kinda cute too!)

I am currently a patient of dr rosenquist and i really like him. I started out with a different group and switched to him because several other women I know have delivered with him and all had good experiences. He never makes me feel uncomfortable and is very easy to talk to about ANY question with the pregnancy. Sometimes the wait in his office is a little long but it's because he will spend the time to talk with you and not rush you out the door. I haven't met the new dr. but I'm sure if they chose to bring her on at women first then she is good too.

Dr. Rosenquist is good. It seemed to me like he was a little bored with the routine monthly maternity visits, but when it came down to time to deliver and I needed an emergency c-section, the rocked.

Dr. Pringle recommended Dr. Rosenquist to me before his practice had actually hired the new partner. Once he met her he did mention to me that he liked her and thought she would be a good choice but I had already made my decision to see Dr. Rosenquist. The girls in the office also seem to like her, too. I think either would be a good choice.

If you have a typical pregnancy and typical plumbing then, yes, he is very nice. If you have a special issue (cyst, endometriosis, etc.) save yourself some heartache and go to St. Louis. I nearly died at Dr. Rosenquists hands. He knew he screwed up because he paid every last medical bill related to the "mishap". Still think he's a nice guy though!

Dr. Morton is the bomb he is very caring and understanding sorry my feelings for Rosenquist is not what you want to hear. I was one of his first patients when he came to cape and he delivered my son second son and I ripped needed 60 some odd stitches. About 2 -3 weeks later I did something and ripped again and I called him he told me on the phone I would be ok went in for my 6 week check up and again was told I would be ok but found out later I was not ok that I should have been restitched. So it is your body your decision.

Thank you everyone for your opinions, advice, and stories. I think I will try his office and probably chose the new woman for my doctor. I prefer women doctors anyway, and there are not many in the Cape Girardeau area.

Thanks for the info. I'm not planning to have anymore children or I'd probably choose Rosenquest. I think for me Dr. Cugini will be a fine choice.
