Just curious. Is there a restaurant in or around Cape that you'll never visit again? Why?

I went to ElToreros in the Cape plaza one time and got refried beans that tasted like someone poured coffee into. Got their beans confused I guess.

Gordonville Grill. Pricey, poor service and quality of meat leaves much to be desired.

Well first off it said cape restaurants and not gordonville but really you are going to bash the grill? I can think of a lot worse places to eat. Is the steak the only thing you have had because I have ate nearly everything on their menu and I thought most of it was really good. They have really good fish, burgers, and sandwiches. I would recommend it to anybody.

Fazolis will never see my face again. Their breadsticks were doughballs last time I was there and the spaghetti gives me indigestion every time. When I eat in real Italian restaurants I never get indigestion.

BABA the sandwich was decent, but the atmosphere felt weird.

Baba's is good stuff (at least the gyros). The atmosphere probably felt weird because eventhough it's been a couple of different things since it was Cosmos gelato crap, no one's redecorated. Hence the retro "space mountain" seating & lighting.

As far as nasty goes, Pops Pizza is all I gotta say. I've seen workers transfer pizza to another buffet pan with their hands after smokin a cig. That was the last time I ate there and didn't take another bite of the food on my plate.

I agree, Pops Pizza could use a lot of improvement. Sure was good in the old days when Earl worked there. A snowy day would bring in 200 people for the buffet!

If you will read #1 post from "customer in Cape Girardeau" the post reads "Is there a restaurant in "or around" Cape that you'll never visit again. Why?
The poster responded "Gordonville Grill" which is "around" Cape and answered why they wouldn't return.
So what's your issue?
And you're questioning why this poster won't return to GG? Bashing? Who are you to question a poster's response?
The answers may not be what you wanted to hear, but the responder was providing input to the questions asked.

I've had very poor experiences at Broussard's. The food is generally not worth the price, and the place needs a remodel. Also, the cafe place by Applebee's, Cafe Soupe, is also very expensive and has terrible service. I once waited 15 mins by the counter before anyone waited on me. I was the only customer there at the time. Then I paid 10 bucks for a cup of soup and a third of a sandwich. It was very lacking.

On a positive note, The Pilot House has some of the best good in Cape. The digs are pretty trashy though.

Hug it I can question anyone I want just like he can post his input so therefore I don't have to get over anything.

Pilot House is good but kind of hard to get the food down while breathing in all cigarette smoke.

I will never go back to Great Wall, Mongolian Grill, or the Chinese place by Pizza Hut. And since the owners of the Great Wall bought the old Ponderosa building, I don't plan on going there either. I also won't go to Huddle House, Ryan's, or Wendy's. There was a roach on my table at Texas Roadhouse, but I think it may have been from the peanuts. I don't know, but I still enjoy going there.
