My fiance had so many problems with US and ended up switching to Regions, where I'm also at. I'd recommend looking into what they have to offer!

Bank of America has online banking and doesn't charge for a checking account as long as you have a direct deposit going into it.

Regions is horrible. Go to either capaha, first community bank or first missouri state bank. I have heard good things about all of them. I think they all have free checking

Free online banking, free checking as long as you either use your debit card so many times or have at least one direct deposit going into it. We don't make much either but haven't had one problem with them. You can also opt in or out for overdraft protection. If you opt in, they'll basically cover your ass if you go over but there is a 36$ OD fee. We op out, which means the card will just decline. We both have separate checking accounts and one joint checking and one joint savings.

Look into it!

I am totally happy at Montgomery Bank. They have an on-line site where you can check you balance anytime and also a 1800 number you can call.

I'm happy with Commerce Bank and the online service is great! I don't think they charge for a checking account, but I also have checked in years!

At the banks I mentioned earlier you dont have to have any requirements to meet to have "free" checking. I had an account at regions for 1 month and thats all it took. Will never do any business there again. I have had numerous people say the same. Some family members use montgomery and like it too. Most banks now offer free online banking, so that shouldnt be an issue. You can search online on the bank websites for more information. I know firt missouri state bank has one in cape and jackson. I think I have seen they are opening another bank in cape this week. I have seen grand opening stuff in the papers.

Regions bank is awful. I am an employee there and am looking into switching my account to another bank. Regions changes their fees, and their requirements way too much and now they are getting ready to charge customers a monthly fee for using their debit cards when in the past they have encouraged customers to use the debit card in order to avoid a monthly fee that is charged for the checking account. So now the customers will have a monthly fee for the checking along with a separate monthly fee for using the debit card. I haven't heard any complaints about Montgomery Bank, or First Missouri State bank, so I am thinking I might go there. Anybody bank there that can tell me a little more about either one of them?

I always heard regions treated their employees bad too. I have loan at montgomery as well as my daughters savings. I bank at first missouri state bank. Never had any problems at either. I dont use montgomery banks online banking so I dont know about that.

I've had US bank for 7 years and I've never paid anything for my checking or savings account. I'm happy with my bank and I've had no issues with them.

Hey dummies. Why should you get free checking. Banks are in the business to make money. Why do you think you can use their services, which cost the banks money to operate, for free. You people need to wake up to the real world or just cash your welfare checks at walmart.

Wood & Huston has a checking with I think a $3.95 monthly fee, but if you use your debit card 16 times it's free.

HELLO, ignorant person, a bank can only lend so much, I think it's 80% of the money that they have in deposits. So if my average balance is $5,000, the bank can loan to someone else $4,000. Off that $4,000 the bank lends, the bank earns interest. That's how banks make money. The more deposits they have, the more they can lend, the more money they are able to make. Without customers who deposit money, the banks would not be able to make loans, therefore make no money. So they really don't need to charge for a checking account when they are already making money off deposits.

Ok. I would like to know a bank that base there lending on checking accounts. That 80% they lend is based mostly on cd's and savinings accounts. Not checking accounts that people put a 1000 or so in just to spend it a week later on bills. If you keep a supstancial amount in a checking account and not savings your the dummy.

Lets not get too off topic people. As far as guest goes, your a typical topics asshole. I guess wd could lump you into the "welfare" groul too huh?! Your a moron. I guess you dont work in a place where you see this but now a lot of welfare stuff is loaded on a card. Like the last "guest" said people shouldnt keep a large amount of money in their checking. Enough to pay bills and have a nice cushion. Otherwise your money should go in savings. Everyone should have a checking account regardless of how much money they have. Stupid.
