Some one needs to come in there that no ones knows and observe from the top down. Start from the top, social services, nursing, the whole nine yards and clean house.

The board of directors have no idea how poorly run and how badly the residents are mistreated. The state never seems to come there at the right time. It is going to take getting enough people to complain to the board of directors for them to listen.

So you don't think there's abuse in every nursing home? One person admits to it and it makes the whole place bad? Wake up this kind of stuff happens in every place too many people work in the healthcare field just for the money and have no compassion for the people they take care of.

When Mrs. Unger was there she managed so the patients werent abused and the employees knew they had to tow the line if they wanted their job. Being in health care myself, being on the receiving end of their patients lately, it is very sad. Once a flagship center for elder care, it is no longer a leader.

The state doesn't care or Life Care would be closed. Theyvneed to do something with that loud mouth don they have. I have to say she stays after those nurses & aids which I think is funny but she needs to take it to her office not the hall way. " way to go Ann"

You know that was one resident that was slapped and for that their was some heads that rolled for it. Don't make it sound like it goes on all the time
There are things that goes on I think they should get out of their cozy office and spend time out and about so they would know what goes on and end it before it gets to far.

Life Care doesn't have a don named Ann. Life Cares is named Brenda and it has its own problems. I remember a huge ad in the southeast Missourian, a couple weeks ago, looking for people to do a class action lawsuit.

They should fire Louise st. John, she is horribly mean and very neglecting to patients.

I think St John is gone. And the post about state not caring is correct. They dont. Elder care is about as appreciated as child care. Wipe'n butt aint got no glory to it that's for sure. Necessary but no glory. Back in the day folks cared at home for their children and seniors. Now we work for 'the man' and we are paying for it in so many ways. I give props to ALL the NH folks. They are under paid and appreciated by their employers who claim they operate on a slim margin of profit. They do because if they didnt they wouldnt be able to defraud MCR of billions of dollars they put in their own pockets.

I agree. People Ned to call the board of directors.....if enough call maybe they will listen. You guys start calling.......and calling .....call some of the Lutheran churches.......tell anyone who will listen. Get rid of the present adm. Tell the board how you all feel about her.....sooner or later they may catch on.

It is going to take so many to get the attention of the board of directors. I wish there was someone inside LH that would be help initiate getting this going. I think most are scared or intimidated by the administration. There are alot of people like myself that was done dirty in the way they left. Need whole new set of administration.

It is just so important that the residents get the care they need and pay for. For the money they payfor their care they should be getting first class care. They should be treated like kings and queens in their care

I agree HarryO...seniors deserve better. And many have paid premium for that care. I dont work in LH only in health care where we see their patients as well as all other NH patients. The owners of the homes CAN afford more for their locations, employees, etc. They dont want to. I'm not knocking free enterprise, I agree if people want to change conditions in a place they have to stand up. Perhaps the residents should be encouraged to make some calls to directors.

Residents are scared too because workers will just make it rough on them for spoiling what they do. It's not right, but it is what it is. A resident I delt with wouldn't even say anything about Louise because they said that woman is vindictive and will be meaner to me.

Everyday that goes by and the LH continues to treat staff and residents the way they do and it makes me mad that nothing has been done. I worked there awhile back and left there not soon enough. What is the first step to changing the situation, cleaning house, from top to bottom.
