Has anyone had dealings with this place lately? Used to be a good place to buy a car. They used to have a deal where u could buy a card and get 8 oil changes for $99.00. Now they wont honor it. Jake Hitt left and the place has gone to hell. My bucket list is as follows...... make them honor my remaining oil changes on the card, and dump this piece of crap import Mazda car they won't take care of. Bening and Schummer are crap and crooks!!!! This thread won't go away!!!

They still honor all the oil change cards, I have one and that was never an issue. I have been in there a few times since Jake left and it is still just all around great service the new service guy is great and knows his stuff and takes care of the customer. I will agree with you about the owners but like I said never and issue with the oil change card I even ask about that when they quit selling them and they explained that they will honor all the oil change cards but they are not selling anymore.

iwas in there 2 weeks ago and didnt have a problem with them not accepting my oil change card

They still accept the card but once you run out of oil changes you can't get a new card. They are gonna be starting a new program soon but it wont be as good. Can't make much money off of selling 8 oil changes for $99.95. And money is all it's about isn't it?

I've never had aproblem out there I've bought 7 cars from there. At the time being i have 4 cars between me my wife and kids so as you can imagine i have a car out ther getting service quit offten. I liked Jake Hiett but the new manager does just as good job if not better he also is very polite and very easy work with. Also how are Bening and Schummer crooks I know of many people that love this dealer ship and will not go anywhere else you dont get customers like that by screwing people. They have alreay started the new program. Its a buy 4 get the 5th free. The oil changes are around 25 dollars so you are getting the oil changes for 20 dollars a peice when it is averaged out which is 10 dollars cheaper anywhere in town. They give you a keychain and punch it everytime you get your oil changed then when it comes to your 5th one they give it to you free. I will continue giving them my business.

I love Bening. My family and I buy pretty much all our vehicles there. I have never had an issue with them not taking care of my cars either. The worst they ever do is try to sell me an air filter change with my oil change and they easily accept no as an answer rather than trying to push you. I enjoy doing business there and love how they work with you. I am sad that Jake left, he was very friendly and accomodating...but that doesn't change my mind about the company.

I actually believe the oil change card has made them money, in return business, and finding repair work that keeps more customers going to them instead of plaze tire.

I would rather go to bening mazda any day instead of the plaze tire, simply put they work on mazdas sell mazdas and know mazdas.

I plan on buying my next car from that place.

So for selling cheap oil changes I know they have made an easy $1000 from me that plaza tire did not get. I have mechanics in my family and I know they always told the truth to me and I appreciate it.

Yes' better than Jake they have a couple Service Writers out there now, I also heard they have a new Service Director over all the the stores that is making a bunch of changes. Like I said the one I am talking about really knows his stuff and when he explains something to you he puts in words that you can understand instead of a bunch of thecnical terms and will take time to sit down with you and explain everything to you. So he is the one I talk to but there are other ones out there.

They just don't like you Guy who posted this depending on who you are that is how they rip you off. It's a car dealership the people who work there are crooks like everyone else who sells cars. Car dealerships are all that way. Get real ! Go somewhere else and it's the same stuff. Can't blame someone for a change of policy or change of employee. Those people change employees like underwear at any dealership. Service guys and salespeople go from place to place to work especially in the economy and with experience people get better job offers.
If you buy a car or get it serviced you will always get ripped off. It's a necessity and therefore you will pay what they tell you too. Especially a big dealership will charge crazy prices because they can.

Oh Tom you must have Ben sleepwalking when u have ben in lately...I didn't even see the nice polite black boy in last time I was in? They said he left too? Guess that was part of the changes u speak of?

I've bought 2 cars from there & am in there quite often. I think the new service director is very creepy. The couple of times I've seen him I've noticed he stares at everyone & always has a bluetooth hanging from his ear. I haven't had a problem with the new service manager other than the fact that he is very very slow to pick up the line when I call for an appointment.

I noticed one of the office girls has been replaced now too. Hope this new one is as friendly as the last because I know the previous one went out of her way to help me a couple of times & she even knew me by name when I'd come in. Doesn't seem like she even worked there very long. Seems like everyones leaving that place.

It's because the old office girl was Jakes new wife. When Jake left, she left too. I'm done with them, Schummer ran me off.

Jake's wife is still there as of last Thursday I saw her in there, there is a new office girl but she is very freindly also. The lady you are talking about is no longer there I think, but not for sure.

I agree with you, I really don't like the place anymore. I think the sales manager is on drugs the way he bounces around that place, acting extremely happy..or "fake" is the way I see it. Seems like since Jake left they don't care as much about their customers as they used to. I heard that Jake went to work at Toyota but I think his wife still works there for now. I also heard a rumor that they opened up their own used car lot somewhere in Jackson but i don't know if it's true. As soon as my oil change card is empty I will take my business elsewhere.

wow all i know is the place went to shit since Jake is gone...John might have to start selling dope again if he don't get a grip on things. Thats right anyone who knows his dope pushin ass knows its true!

I am shocked to see some of the opinions on here. I have bought 6 vehicles from Bening Mazda and have had everyone of them serviced at Bening Mazda. I have never had anything except great service over there. I was also disappointed when the oil change program stopped, but seeing as how 12 dollar oil changes cant be profitable with the price of oil then its understandable. Businesses are in business to make money as long as its fair and reasonable then I can handle that. I am obviously very pleased with the sales and service departments or I would not have bought 6 cars from them. I was in just last week and noticed they posted their national ranking among all mazda dealers for overall customer service in sales and service and I believe they were ranked #12 out of 650 Mazda stores in the whole country. Based on my experiences there then I would have to agree. So I will keep on giving my business to Bening.

I totally agree with SEMO 04. I have had nothing but a great experience with the salesman and the service department also. Everybody is honest and upfront no matter what it is,weather it financing or there service department recommending something that I need for my car. I will promote Bening Mazda anytime any day. Thats why I'am on my sencond car from Bening Mazda.
