Kenny Adams was born and raised in Cape Girardeau. He lived with his grandfather Mr Rufus Burgess in the alley just to the west of St James Church. Mr Burgess owned the American Legion across the street from Peoples.

Many experts feel that Kenny is the greatest boxing coach of all times. He coached the Olympic time in 1984 and 1988. He coached several world champions. He was a fine boxer himself. Kenny was also an Airborne Ranger. He retired from the Army after more than 300 months of active duty.

Why has he not been honored by the powers that be and his mural not been drawn on the Sea Wall. He did something positive for Cape unlike some of the other rabble rousers on the Seawall.

Kenny Adams Supports Harry Reid!

Here he is in living color and all his glory and majesty.

I saw 7 white kids walking in the park. I stopped them and told them they couldn't walk together anymore unless they included 2 black males, one black female, and a Mexican. I told them about the importance of diversity. They told me to go to hell. So my message is

Do a quick Google search on this guy and you will find your answer. Only one hit on the main page, approximately 1/2 way down links to a wiki type page describing the no-name fighters he has trained. Are his accomplishments diminished? No. Does he deserve recognition? There's certainly a debate. Should we as residents be outraged because he isn't on there? Why should we - almost nobody even knows who he is. Is he famous? Not even close. You speak of him as if he is some sort of God. Puh-lease.

I never knew that training boxers was a heroic accomplishment. Its great to here that he served, but so has millions of other people. But hey, if you want to, why don't you paint him on the side of your house.

Well now you have. So get busy and do something about it if you have the money and power to do so.:-)

Watch the videos and listen to the Boxing experts and media people talk to him. It is their opinion of him that counts and not these neer-do-well stuck on stupid morons below.

That's what happens when the Cape school system gives students a very racially biased one side education. Only getting half the history can be very dangerous to you all.

all these years when people present evidence on what lunatics you all are, the first thing you say and only thing is that you can't trust Google.

Now for some reason Google has become your GOD when it comes to looking for information about the greatest internationally know and respected man to ever come out of Cape. Watch the Youtube videos and stop being Stuck on Stupid!:-)

Well, in my opinion, neither is Football, Baseball, or Basketball, but they are being honored aren't they? I certainly have a lot more respect for a great Boing trainer than I do someone who just spews out race hatred, misogny, and half-truths like our home boy, you know who!

Of course ignorant people love other ignorant people so I'm sure you would disagree.

Nope I agree that all sports stars are overpaid and overrated. I think sports scholarships are one of the biggest frauds perpetuated. I do understand that superstars are payed homage. Notice I said I said super stars.
