every now and then a fellow sells some on ebay. register for a search and they will notify you if something is posted.

mine did too. he passed away several years ago, and him and those trucks were fond memories of my childhood and of him.

yea mine too. he was a trailer mechanic for them and i saw the Blue Angels at the airshow one year from Tanksley's lot.

he drove for them from 78 to 83. then old man harris passed, so he left. they had just got the "new 362 petes". had the 3 wiper blades on them. matter of fact his last truck number was 910. LOL--funny how you can remember little things.

my dad worked there until they sold out to Harris then he worked for them until he got sick and they let him go. wasn't the same when it wasn't Tanksley any more.

after all that went down, it didnt take long for the company to go down hill. dad always said it got where it wasnt fun anymore to be there.

Any Tanksley drivers remember a driver who went by "Skyhawk"? He drove for them in 1979. He was my dad.

My dad used to drive for sam tanksley. My dad and the way tanksley treated him is one of the biggest reason I started to drive. Anyone remember u.s.#1 dum dum (Bill massey)? Or doug baker? They are both still alive and well.
