The folks at the sprint store say a tower is down and will be repaired soon.

Everybody, NEVER call or go to a sprint store when you have issues like this. They will lie to you just to get you out of their store so they can keep selling and make more money. Call customer service 1-800-639-6111 and ask them. I guarantee that what you hear will be more truthful than anything the store people say. And btw, they can't lie to you to get you off the phone. If they do they will face disciplinary action, normally that involves being thrown the hell out the door!

"just spent an hour and a half on the phone. they hung up on me 3 times. "

Unfortunately there are those pricks who don't want to deal with the situation at hand. If you get hung up on IMMEDIATELY call back and ask to talk to a supervisor. Tell the sup. They can take a look back at the notes and see exactly who it was.

If you hang up on someone are you really going to be stupid enough to add notes to the customers profile?...

I've worked in a call center. When you bring up the customer they have notes from other reps who have talked to them. And before you call someone a "dummy", what the heck is "teir"?
