Bushmaster Rifle Ad Reminds Us To Ask More About Masculinity And Gun Violence (with photo)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/emma-gray/bushm ...

It looks like Bushmaster knows how to advertise to the insecure, wimpy gun nut.(ie. the same kind of person who kills 1st graders) You know, to some level, this ad would of appealed to Adam Lanza.

some one posted this on my facebook page and i thought i would pass it on:

GUN CONTROL STATUS
compare ten big "KILLRS" in the U.S.

1. Tobacco use----------529,000

2. Medical Errors----------195,000

3. Unintentional Injuries------118,000

4. Alchol Abuse----------107,000

5. Motor Vehicle Accidents-----34,485

6. Unintentional Poisoning-----31,758

7. Drug Abuse----------25,500

8. Unintentional Falls---------24,792

Ok. Lets compare firearm usage in recorded crime between the US and England / Wales.

England / Wales:
http://m.politics.co.uk/reference/gun-crime
In England and Wales firearms were reportedly used in 11,227 offences, 0.3% of all recorded crimes.

United States
http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/index.cfm...
A firearm was used in 22% of all violent crime in the recorded year.

(more violent crimes occurred in the US than total crime occurred in England / Wales)

So, it looks like that "Internet research" you spoke about isn't helping your argument.

Your stats may well be correct but put a legal firearm in every responsible citizens hand and I promise crime rates will plummet! Now as for your stats how did the come about was it by capita? Or strictly numbers of reported? By the way are we going to stick to one thread or should we continue to jump back n forth? Don.

You dipsh!t watermark can't you read? Gun bans did no good, gun crimes increased. Your really dense aren't you :(
If things go the way you want them then we would be at the mercy of criminals. As it is now, criminals think twice about breaking into homes because the owner of that home may be armed. As i said before, if you don't like it here then move!

Violent crime rates in America have been in a steady decline since the first assault weapons ban expired in 2004.

Places like DC and Chicago where gun bans exist have some of the highest gun crime rates.

Go figure.

An ultra violent police state. Do you not get this. Police have guns and if they find out some alleged
Criminal has one (because we will report them) its looked into and said criminal if in possession of any illegal firearm gets it! Crack down you pussies. No guns means no guns. Some loser talks smack about a gun the police go and take care of said loser if he has a gun. Everyone wants to play around! Crack down and crack heads!

Actually a firearm was used in 8% of all violent crimes.

No, you'll just have people taking weapons to their kid's soccer game, dropping it and killing an innocent toddler more frequently.

Answer the questions previous ask of you regarding the shooter's repeated choice of the AR-15.

Hey Watermark,
I went to the link u posted and copied the part where you got your "22"%. I'll paste it here for all to see. Please read carefully, it states that the "22"% that were armed, were armed with other weapons than just firearms. And not all the firearms were handguns or asault weapons either. What more can I say?

Summary Findings

The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) measures the nonfatal violent crimes of rape/sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated and simple assault. Victims who experience violent crimes are asked if the offender(s) used weapons.

In 2009

An offender was armed with a gun, knife, or other object used as a weapon in an estimated 22% of all incidents of violent crime.
Offenders used firearms to commit 8% of violent crime incidents in 2009.
